[–] Goodmorningsunshine@lemmy.world 2 points 36 minutes ago

These are like Herman Cain awards and I'm as here for it as I was for those.

[–] plz1@lemmy.world 7 points 1 hour ago

paying the taxes

LMAO, swing and a miss...

[–] xzot746@sh.itjust.works 23 points 3 hours ago

I actually really like seeing these.

You dumbs fucks did this to yourselves, the unfortunate part is that they were not smart enough to understand what was really happening and what was going to happen.

The unfortunate part is all the misery they will cause for the good people (and I don't mean one political party or another).

The enshittification of the world (which has been happening for a while) is picking up speed because of these dumb fucks.

People like this are dumb as fuck and deserve their misfortune.

Austin Wade Petersen (born February 19, 1981) is an American writer, political activistcommentator, and broadcaster. He is the host of the Wake Up America show daily newscast. He was the runner-up for the Libertarian Party's nomination for President of the United States in 2016,[1] finishing second place to Gary Johnson with 21.9% of the vote.[2][3]

Libertarian

Vote for Trump

Hmmmmmmm

[–] homesweethomeMrL@lemmy.world 2 points 40 minutes ago

All Libertarians are just republiQans who don’t want to take responsibility for republiQans.

[–] Catma@lemmy.world 108 points 6 hours ago (5 children)

Yea fuck this man sideways.

[–] conditional_soup@lemm.ee 3 points 42 minutes ago

I didn't vote for this

Didn't you know what you were voting for?

Yes.

Well, he's a liar, an idiot, or both. I'm going with both.

They have to. Their world view is so fragile that accepting they're wrong about even the smallest thing risks shattering the whole.

[–] madjo 62 points 5 hours ago (1 children)

These idiots really don't understand how it works, do they? "trans the kids"

nobody was transing the kids, idiot Austin. That's not how anything worked.

[–] Trainguyrom@reddthat.com 6 points 2 hours ago (2 children)

Honestly the best response to that kind of thing is just "lol based" completely short-circuits them

[–] Laser@feddit.org 50 points 6 hours ago

[–] arrow74@lemm.ee 32 points 5 hours ago* (last edited 5 hours ago)

Oh no Trump took away my buisness with his economic policies. At least I can rest easy knowing that we're legislating child genitals

[–] reattach@lemmy.world 60 points 6 hours ago

Notice that they voted for "Trump" but that it's "government" that damaged their business. Curious.

Memeseteal-ception

[–] Speculater@lemmy.world 56 points 7 hours ago (3 children)

The de minimus exemption was never meant to be used as a loophole by any business, big or small. He's basically admitting tax fraud. "I bought lots of sub $800 orders to avoid paying taxes and it's the only thing that kept me profitable!"

[–] Steve@startrek.website 5 points 3 hours ago (1 children)

Thats not it at all. Theres a big difference between 15% import taxes and 200%

[–] funkless_eck@sh.itjust.works 2 points 2 hours ago

that is what the de minimis loophole is though, and it is ideologically consistent with tariffs and trumps economic view so it is what he voted for

[–] ChicoSuave@lemmy.world 12 points 5 hours ago

Look, he voted for Trump too. Clearly the guy doesn't think anything through or even have good ideas.

[–] BradleyUffner@lemmy.world 24 points 6 hours ago

That's sounds roughly equivalent to "structuring" in the money laundering industry.

[–] Nusm@yall.theatl.social 67 points 7 hours ago
[–] AdolfSchmitler@lemmy.world 13 points 5 hours ago

I will never get tired of seeing posts here

[–] PattyMcB@lemmy.world 150 points 9 hours ago (3 children)

"I didn't vote for this"

Yes... you literally did vote for this.

[–] jlow@discuss.tchncs.de 5 points 4 hours ago (2 children)

And I bet they'll do it again in ten years when the next swindler comes along telling them lies.

[–] FinalRemix@lemmy.world 1 points 1 hour ago

Lol, you think we're gonna still have elections.

[–] PattyMcB@lemmy.world 3 points 4 hours ago

Gotta own them libs!

[–] Swedneck@discuss.tchncs.de 41 points 8 hours ago (1 children)

it'll never cease to be hilariously ironic that conservatives love to call others naïve, as they themselves fail to realize that people will tell blatant lies in order to get votes

[–] Clent@lemmy.dbzer0.com 20 points 6 hours ago (1 children)

It's all projection. Poorly educated people cannot comprehend that people smarter than them exist.

Anyone who think they are smarter must be an idiot and must be more naive than a them to believe they are actually smarter.

[–] PattyMcB@lemmy.world 7 points 4 hours ago

While I agree, education and intelligence are not equivalent. Be careful when calling well-educated people "smart"

[–] sarcasticsunrise@lemmy.world 6 points 5 hours ago

Ah yes. The serotonin hit I just received from resding this was divine. This is one of the most satisfying FAFO's I've seen recently

[–] ddash@lemmy.dbzer0.com 20 points 7 hours ago (3 children)

But he owned the libs, right?

[–] blinfabian 90 points 9 hours ago (3 children)

people picked wealth over human rights and healthcare. now they get neither

[–] arakhis_@feddit.org 6 points 4 hours ago

They got wealth, just for a distinct group of people
