Literally what happened last term. They all believed their own bullshit even though they voted for him all three times. The collective amnesia is real.

They 1984 themselves out of self preservation because admitting they are capable of making mistakes is in stark contrast with their ego.

I'm not sure if it's a new phenomenon or the internet has just made it easier to spot but there are vast swaths of people who live their lives with zero doubts of their past present and future, despite a third party view displaying massive incongruent behavior.

Attributing it to stupidity understates what is being observed here. It is an all encompassing psychosis.

Democracy dies in the darkness (and we are the shadow)

Those subs are their safe place. Anyone who disagrees is only allowed to view their propaganda. Not unlike a vegan sub really.

This has always been a flag that symbolizes, "I yearn to tread on others"

Demolition company: When we're done, you'll never need to worry about a leaky roof again!

Every Fox News watcher: omg, amazing deal!

The issue isn't Fox News itself or the lies they tell, it's the viewer's inability to process information into logical truths.

Fox News simply has no moral issue with lying to them. If you pay attention to what people complain about when it comes to the left, it's their reluctance to lie to people.

Most people prefer comforting lies.

It wasn't a loan. It's ours now.

Stop using it before we make you another state.

If the world of full of dumb fucks. We are all literally equally fucking stupid. Someone will still rise to the top and our dumb fuckery will allow us to contribute that to them being the lesser dumb fuck.

Go read animal farm but realize that the specifics of the animals doesn't matter. Most people think, I would never act like those pigs because this kids the point. It could have just as easily been a team of horses that moved onto the house.

We are all equally stupid, some of us are just less equally stupid than others. The statement is logically nonsense but language lets us lie to ourself by construction nonsense that our brain accepts as reality. We are all susceptible.

Life is far more scary once one accepts that there is no shadowy secret cabal. This concept is just gods of a different natures. Brains are stupid and we're all stuck inside of one.

Of course. But everyone thinks, "not me" -- it's facing eating leopards eating all the way up.

The adage is well know -- "there are no good (classification)" where in this case classification is billionaires but it applies equally to police. And everyone in the classification that understands the truth of this adage appends, "except me, I'm the exception to the rule"

However, the adage does not leave room for such exceptions. It exists solely in the domain of the magical thinking that all humans suffer from.

No one thinks they are the problem. No one thinks they are of below average intelligence. It's all ego up and down the socioeconomic ladder. The only way out is to let go but we cannot because society will force our hand back to the rung.

We're not there yet. The problem is as we approach it, they just skim more so we will reach a point where we should barely need to work but won't know it.

That skim is how the stock market keeps going up in ways that make no sense to the workers. They've figured out how to profit regardless of the struggles of the working class.

As it stands today, we could probably survive by working one day per week, likely less. The amount being skimmed is that insane.

Pretty sure the "you" in the post you're responding to is the "you as in one as in some hypothetical person" and not "you as in UnderpantsWeevil" -- perhaps not but I've definitely been in this change where I use "you" instead of "one" and had people jump all over me for attacking the op.
