As someone who's skin is naturally about as pale as a troglodyte Irishman but lives in SoCal. Tanning can fuck you up if you tan too quickly I still have a large amount of freckles and discoloration on my shoulders from skin damage back when I was like 10, I am 25 it has been years. Though admittedly I do have a very light farmers tan on my forearms and on the upper part of my face.

My brain is telling me, the bottom right picture has to be the fluffiest thing to possibly exist fluffily in the universe

[–] Empricorn 10 points 16 hours ago

is a tan washing off really a thing? asking because my skin burns just thinking about the sun lol

[–] oftheair@lemmy.blahaj.zone 19 points 13 hours ago (1 children)

We think the implication is that it's dirt, not a tan.

[–] FuglyDuck@lemmy.world 1 points 7 hours ago

Tan dirt.

So it works. Maybe. Try squinting at it.

I must find this exact sheep and hug it.

Then they killed it and ate its limbs.

Chances are that this is for something like a petting zoo. The farmers that raise them for meat don’t treat them well enough to get them a wash and a blowout at the local salon.

I too was once the youngest child, then relegated to middle.

1 day if you're an archaeologist

[–] RaivoKulli@sopuli.xyz 11 points 21 hours ago (1 children)

My burned and now tanned skin says otherwise

All I want to do is clean more sheep.

[–] Track_Shovel@slrpnk.net 8 points 21 hours ago

This is the most accurate thing ever. I'm pretty sure I still have dirt in some of the creases of skin, and I haven't been in the field for 3 years
