Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). 3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

Where did he hear that no one wants them?

I’m surprised everyone here is missing the obvious: he’s racist AF. Juneteenth is the holiday celebrating when word of the end of the civil war and the emancipation proclamation reached Texas. Sure he’s a lazy billionaire, but I bet this is more about him thinking black people don’t deserve a holiday. It’s implied in there by him saying non-working, he’s thinking black people are lazy.

[–] grue@lemmy.world 4 points 1 hour ago

I think it's even worse than that: he wants black people to get back to the "work" the holiday was about emancipating them from.

"Non-working holidays"? Does he know what a holiday is?

Did he say this from a golf course?

Us normal people don't golf on the clock

Oh for fuck sake, every place that has gone to a four day work week has seen an_increase_ in productivity.

As always, it's about inflicting misery on others

[–] runiq@feddit.org 9 points 2 hours ago

No, it's definitely also about the racism.

Trump has never worked a normal job. He has no idea how little work is actually done.

[–] forrgott@lemmy.sdf.org 12 points 4 hours ago

Yup. Worse, his actions and his words expose the fact that he is consumed with hatred, for everyone and everything, including himself. But, as an added bonus in his piggy little eyes, he equates carrying my misery with profit for himself.

Orange fuck never worked a goddamn day in his miserable life.

Like 4th of July?

[–] ryokimball@infosec.pub 35 points 6 hours ago (1 children)

Wasn't he trying to add two more holidays like a month ago?

[–] ZeroCool@lemmy.ca 43 points 5 hours ago

Yep! Gee, I wonder what it is about this holiday in particular that has Trump so upset? Hmm....

Nobody gives a shit what that walking corpse thinks

[–] dinren@discuss.online 1 points 30 minutes ago

Nearly half the country gets erect when he talks. So, while you and I don’t care… a sad amount of people do. That’s how we got in this mess.

Because I'm working hard here trying to start World War 3
