Remember when we found out the US military was running anti-vaxx campaigns in the Philippines because China encouraged US citizens to investigate Fort Detrick?

[–] ohulancutash@feddit.uk 79 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Or because they didn’t want them grateful to China for the Covid vaccine.

[–] JoeByeThen@hexbear.net 46 points 2 weeks ago

Yeah, that too.

LOCKDOWNS:

Prolonged lockdowns caused immeasurable harm to not only the American economy, but also to the mental and physical health of Americans, with a particularly negative effect on younger citizens. Rather than prioritizing the protection of the most vulnerable populations, federal and state government policies forced millions of Americans to forgo crucial elements of a healthy and financially sound life.

bait

The most vulnerable populations: businesses owners

[–] TheModerateTankie@hexbear.net 33 points 2 weeks ago

They are fixing the problem of bad policy by getting rid of policies

[–] BilduEnjoyer@hexbear.net 23 points 1 week ago

lol my mental health was thriving during lockdown. I was doing so many hobbies. My friends held discord movie watch parties and I reconnected with a lot of people.

I’m also an introverted nerd tho.

[–] PanArab@lemm.ee 19 points 1 week ago

The lockdowns made remote work the norm in my industry and I'm thankful for that. My mental and physical health couldn't be better now that I don't regularly suffer rush hour traffic.

So if it's a lab leaked supervirus WMD bioweapon, that means we should get vaccinated against it and do some quarantine?

[–] ElChapoDeChapo@hexbear.net 40 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

[–] ButtBidet@hexbear.net 38 points 2 weeks ago (3 children)

I know you all (most of you all) are just joking. But please remember that COVID didn't originate from Ft. Detrick either.

*yes I know a lot of other biological weapons did

Obviously not, but I wonder where the line is between us being ironic, to it becoming a thing in leftist spaces unironically.

[–] InappropriateEmote@hexbear.net 20 points 2 weeks ago (2 children)

It has already unironically been a thing here on hexbear. E.g.

[–] hotcouchguy@hexbear.net 24 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

I do think it's actually a plausible theory, and the more they talk about the Wuhan lab the more suspicious I get about ft Dietrich.

Nah you're right for this. It's becoming a bit of a trend to rely purely on vibes to analyze things, because leftist vibes are correct more often than not.

However, not utilizing material analysis, research, and critical thought is a very dangerous habit to get into.

Not complaining, but it's funny/admirable how leftists are OK with policing each other's jokes. Tbh often I'll mentally have an idea for badposting, but then scratch it as "ironic bigotry is still bigotry".

given how dumb these people are, do we think it'd be hard to externally replace that page with the imgur link?
