Seriously. Like imagine if a trans person used their preferred bathroom. I mean I don't, cause I don't care. But for people the right claims to hate, they have an odd fascination with them. Like how hard is it to just not give a fuck?

My energy is more valuable to me than being mad at a group of people who I have minimal interactions with. Wouldn't these pricks be happier just ODing on meth?

I'll give you this as an example, I drive Uber and have a mas presenting trans person. I call them by their preferred name and drive them where they wanna go. That's it, and it's never a problem. They told me about another driver that keeps making up mas names to call them in an attempt to antagonize them(?) I guess. I seriously can't imagine giving that much of a fuck about someone I don't even know.

But here I am giving that same energy to dipshit "conservatives". I guess we're all hypocrites.

Ehh being annoyed at someone else for being an asshole isn't equivalent to being annoyed that someone else exists. You don't seem hypocritical to me

[–] YiddishMcSquidish@lemmy.today 13 points 1 week ago

Thanks homie, that actually means a lot to me.

[–] hildegarde@lemmy.blahaj.zone 10 points 1 week ago (3 children)

I can't imagine antagonizing someone who you rely on for a tip and a rating.

Nothing says protecting people in the bathroom like constantly monitoring them and keeping track of everyone that uses them.

Americans are so weird.

They're also so dumb that they can't see that this entire bathroom thing is just one giant distraction

[–] Mongostein@lemmy.ca 31 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago) (8 children)

No shit. The solution is easy too. Make every bathroom non-gendered with ceiling to floor walls and doors on the stalls and cameras in the washing up area. Add a guard or attendant if you feel like you have to.

[–] sprite0@sh.itjust.works 10 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago) (5 children)

are you kidding our cheap corporations won't even make the cheap shitty stall walls in the toilets we do get go down to the floor and they usually have gaps you can see through. They don't make any money on the bathrooms so they aren't going to spend an extra dime to help.

Not to mention nobody can afford a house so when you do get bathrooms like you're describing homeless people move into them. I'm not blaming them either.

I wish we could have nice things like that but i can't see it happening here.

[–] Lodespawn@aussie.zone 9 points 1 week ago (1 children)

The place I worked at in the UK remodeled all their bathrooms to be a hallway with doors to multiple single self contained unisex toilets, each with its own basin. Bathrooms were generally cleaner, more accessible and more available. No urinals, but urinals are gross anyway so no big loss.

I can't wait to get drafted then have my genitalia checked constantly by my CO.

[–] Saik0Shinigami@lemmy.saik0.com 11 points 1 week ago (3 children)

It's a normal part of the military anyway... willy watching duty during drug tests is a thing. Gotta make sure the Joe isn't cheating the drug test.

I don't know what the other bathroom did... never asked or cared. But I will assume the stall door stayed open.

WHY would anyone, in this day and age, volunteer to become a fascist bootlicking piece of shit member of the military? I can’t respect anyone who is ok with this.

[–] callouscomic@lemmy.zip 16 points 1 week ago* (last edited 6 days ago) (2 children)

I've reached a point where I refuse any longer to hold any reverence or respect for current military. Just like cops. The military cock worship of parades, holidays, and discounts everywhere needs to go away.

How about discounts for teachers, or road workers, or social workers.

A lot of these people were in the military before the second Trump admin made it obvious that they're going to have to work for an actual fascist dictatorship.

Secondly, for a lot of young people, the G.I Bill is the only real way to afford an education. You know that whole student debt issue that is crippling people financially for decades? Joining the military is a way to bypass that.

[–] flandish@lemmy.world 12 points 1 week ago (3 children)

The uncomfortable pill is that at any point in the last many decades (ie: after abolishment of the draft) there was no good reason to join. WMDs? Known lie. Vietnam and not drafted? Known lie. (Tonkin was a lie)

That GI bill part is so very true and sad. It’s on purpose, of course. Expensive college and poor people means … more fodder.

If they can't handle the person shitting in the stall next to them possibly having a different set of genitals than theirs, then how the fuck are they supposed to handle combat? What a bunch of absolute cowards.

This sounds like an excellent use of time and money for the military. Right up there with sending troops to LA to stand around and watch protests, but not to TX to help with search and rescue. Because lives don't matter only control matters.

In the American Regime, the military checks your peepees to put you into the bathroom they deem appropriate

Whew, that's a relief. As a completely straight, totally not gay, heterosexual male, knowing that I will only get to see the penises of other men in the bathroom gives me an immeasurable sense of ~~release~~ relief.

[–] Blackmist@feddit.uk 24 points 1 week ago (3 children)

Just think, if we'd gone full Starship Troopers with our fascism, we'd have mixed sex toilets and not have to worry if Debbie still had a todger or not.

Imagine serving because you believe that you're protecting the country from a foreign military threat, only to be tasked with verifying genital compliance for bathrooms.

It would be better to shovel shit. Way more honour and respect from society.

The Daily Show has a nice piece on this anti-trans bullshit in the 'murican military.

I'm getting sick and tired of all this and i'm in the group that it's cool to dogpile on du jour, just make all bathrooms mixed already: sinks up front, cubicles in the middle with floor to ceiling doors, urinals at the back. There, done.
As a bonus a lot more people will wash their hands.
Motels might lose some money though.

What do you think? How many months until they will let an AI take pictures of your junk and evaluate a toilet for you?
