A Reddit comment by user “Damichia480” in the “Conservative” subreddit reads:

It too late he straight up broke every campaign promise.

“No new wars” Bombed iran and is about to fund Urkaine like Biden did

“Mass deportation” not enough and is keeping the illegal immigrants working as slaves and H1B

“I will release the Epstien files” “The flies on my desk” - Pam Bondi. Recanted everything he said and say there no flies and Republicans BLOCKED the release

Patel was hired to take care of the deep state but he is no different from them

“The Party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command.”

RIP MAGA we been terribly lied to and betrayed by the people that shouldve served us but they devolved into being part of the establishment.

Hey, OP, per Rule 4, can you add alt text to the post?

Edit: Thanks, OP!

"devolved" lol. always has been buddy.

these people did not learn their lesson, they will look for the next fascist to support.

[–] gabbath@lemmy.world 5 points 9 hours ago

Well they want someone who will follow through on the mass deportations even harder, because apparently masked ICE thugs, legalized vigilantism, bigger than most militaries anti-immigration budget, and concentration camps are "not enough".

[–] DarkFuture@lemmy.world 19 points 12 hours ago (3 children)

Hands down the dumbest people I've ever personally witnessed in my life or ever read about in the annals of history.

I had no clue before the last decade that people without actual, physical brain damage could be this stupid.

[–] kadaverin0@lemmy.dbzer0.com 3 points 9 hours ago

My scumbag step-sister and her dumbass husband we're all gung ho about Trump because he was going to "bring America back" and other incoherent hillbilly shit like that. It was funny watching them act like they were anti-Trump from the word go when everyone found out that MAGA meant they were going to lose all the state aid they rely on.

[–] Reygle@lemmy.world 7 points 12 hours ago

Technically every American in their 40s was poisoned as children with lead in the air we all technically have brain damage. Not saying it's the cause of any of this shit, but pushing everyone down a few rungs sure didn't help things.

[–] AlexLost@lemmy.world 3 points 12 hours ago

Just realized that half the people you know are dumb as bricks, and half the country is even dumber than that.

[–] Natanael@infosec.pub 19 points 13 hours ago (1 children)

"not enough deportations"? How many drugs are he on?

[–] Wolf@lemmy.today 5 points 11 hours ago* (last edited 9 hours ago) (1 children)

Right, hundreds of goons daily attacking pretty much any Latino they see, including U.S. citizens and people 'trying to do it the right way' and building a concentration camp in the swamp- but that's not enough for these bigoted assholes.

[–] M0oP0o@mander.xyz 4 points 9 hours ago

They where told it would be done in a few days, a massive purge. For the average rasist maga fan, it would never be enough.

The narrative on r/conservative has been broken for days now. Normally by now they are back to talking points. Have they finally broken?

[–] Zexks@lemmy.world 23 points 16 hours ago (1 children)

Please let epstien be the catalyst to bring all this shit to an end. So fitting it would be.

[–] chiliedogg@lemmy.world 7 points 13 hours ago* (last edited 10 hours ago) (1 children)

How do we live in a world where the best hope for positive change is the legacy of the leader of a pedophile sex-trafficking operation?

[–] LifeInMultipleChoice@lemmy.world 4 points 12 hours ago* (last edited 12 hours ago)

When youve got MAGA supporters asking for a sex offender (Matt Gaetz) to investigate a sex offender's ties to a sex offender... It really makes you wonder what they support. After all they were perfectly fine NOT charging Gaetz with paying to transport minors to other states for sex. They decided, well he resigned from a position so that's good enough, we'll find a new one as soon as we can.

All I see is:

“It’s the leopard’s fault it ate my face, not that I should have been a better judge of character”

[–] Ostrakon@lemmy.world 4 points 16 hours ago (1 children)

Honestly it's an unreasonable expectation to expect all voters to be excellent judges of character, or even understanding enough about practicalities to identify the better of two bad options. Even if these people had access to better information, would they process it correctly? I can be somewhat understanding of folks who were tricked by these lies given the context that they live in.

[–] FordBeeblebrox@lemmy.world 3 points 12 hours ago* (last edited 5 hours ago)

Maybe the first time, not twice.

E) actually no, it’s been blatantly obvious since the 80’s

[–] AlexLost@lemmy.world 6 points 12 hours ago (1 children)

I love that rather than believe they were lied to, they turn to the "establishment" corrupting their boy, instead of their boy corrupting the establishment. It's almost too funny if you weren't one of the most powerful nations.

[–] Numuruzero@lemmy.dbzer0.com 4 points 12 hours ago

Well hey let's get one thing clear. The establishment was already corrupt. Their mistake is thinking this administration was going to be the ones to fix it because they just bought into the next grift.

[–] buddascrayon@lemmy.world 5 points 12 hours ago (2 children)

To all the liberals reading these diatribes from disillusioned MAGAs, the enemy of my enemy is still my enemy. Even if they feel betrayed by their glorious leader, the things he has done are still within the playbook that those people voted for.

They will never "come around" to seeing what is wrong. They just feel put out cause their sugar daddy didn't give them the car they wanted (the Epstein files). He will inevitably do something horrendous that will get them clapping along to the fascist tune again.

[–] Lumisal@lemmy.world 7 points 10 hours ago (1 children)

The original quote, "the enemy of my enemy if my friend" isn't about befriending your enemy, it's about using them to fight the bigger enemy.

The goal shouldn't be to get them to become progressive (right now) but to push on how they were wrong, and that Trump is a lie so that they can turn on Trump.

Most of these people are terrible people. But if they're infighting it's better for humanity than if they continue lock in step.

[–] buddascrayon@lemmy.world 1 points 4 hours ago* (last edited 3 hours ago)

That's exactly my point though. They cannot be manipulated by anyone but Trump. They want to believe in him, therefore they will accept any excuse or bullshit he shovels out in their direction. Mark my words, they will be back on his side in no time. Nothing is more powerful than self-delusion.

Edit: further to my point, we need to stop trying to do anything with these people. We need to appeal to those who will not voted, who don't engage because they're sick and tired of politics as usual. People who are getting killed by our economy and don't like Trump, but they also don't like Democrats. We need more progressives and we need to get rid of the democratic party. Because their playbook was, is, and continually will be to try to appeal to conservative voters. New York City is a prime example of why. The Democratic party will pull out all the stops to try and prevent a progressive from taking an office. But they can't be bothered to stop a conservative. Just look at the pathetic showing they gave in opposition to that Ugly Ass Bill. They took selfies and posed with baseball bats and looked shocked and horrified as nearly every Republican voted it into law. But they didn't do a single real thing to try to stop it. Their attitude is, "well we'll get em in the mid-terms"... Meanwhile millions of Americans are going to lose health coverage and billionaires are going to line their pockets with that Medicaid money.

[–] GaMEChld@lemmy.world 1 points 11 hours ago (1 children)

So you'd rather lose elections on principle than try and convince them to vote your way? Doesn't sound like a smart play to me.

[–] buddascrayon@lemmy.world 4 points 11 hours ago (2 children)

They👏👏will👏👏never👏👏be👏👏convinced.

These people don't share values with you. They think immigrants steal jobs and commit all the crimes. They are extremely happy that the brown people are being herded into camps. They think that abortion clinics are killing babies on the government dime because the atheists want to eliminate Christianity. They are the ones pushing abortion bans across the country. These are not sane people. No matter how logical and fact based your argument, they will cling to their twisted views.

The way to win elections is to stop trying to appeal to these people and start investing time and money into the "socialist" policies that left wing voters are almost constantly asking for.

Both Hilary and Kamala tried to appeal to the right wing and it cost them and us. It's time to leave the right wingers in the dark where they are happy and focus on bringing the left wing back up out of the shadows because the fucking cold war is 30 years done and over. We no longer have to be scared of the words socialism and communism because there is no longer an iron curtain and the Russians are even more capitalist than we are at this point.

[–] Davscomur@lemmy.world 3 points 10 hours ago

This. Exactly this.

The problem with being a rational person is that you have rational responses to ideas and problems and expect irrational people to also have those same rational responses, but all they can have are irrational responses. There is no convincing them. There is no appealing to their better angels.

[–] GaMEChld@lemmy.world 1 points 9 hours ago

I'm not saying appeal to them. I'm saying stop antagonizing them so you can feel morally superior.

It's easier to pass the legislation you want without telling the opposition they are morons if they don't support it.

[–] RickyRigatoni@retrolemmy.com 19 points 17 hours ago (1 children)

The spell ain't lifting broseph MAGA said all this shit first term but they still kept sucking on it and got him a second term.

[–] auraithx@lemmy.dbzer0.com 8 points 17 hours ago (1 children)

I’ve known Trump supporters irl since then and this is the first time they’ve cracked.

[–] Lucky_777@lemmy.world 17 points 17 hours ago (4 children)

Will they stay cracked or will they just go back to their knees. That's the real question.

[–] frezik@lemmy.blahaj.zone 6 points 13 hours ago

Stay cracked. It may take years to work out, though.

No, cults do not have permanent control over peoples minds. People do leave. When there's big events like this that expose problems in the group, lots of people towards the edges will take off. Those who remain are the really devoted ones. It may take decades or even centuries to truly disappear (there's still a few Shakers out there), but MAGA doesn't have to shrink that much before it's no longer a meaningful political force.

[–] FordBeeblebrox@lemmy.world 3 points 12 hours ago

My relatives cannot admit the cracks exist because Mormons support this horseshit and they can’t stray from the church. It’s so goddamn depressing to see otherwise educated adults just parroting idiotic fox sound bites

[–] RickyRigatoni@retrolemmy.com 4 points 16 hours ago

Did you intend this to sound like that NIN song

[–] auraithx@lemmy.dbzer0.com 3 points 17 hours ago* (last edited 17 hours ago) (2 children)

Unless he releases all the evidence he’ll lose about 75% of his base, they won’t drop this it’s a core belief.

Considering their attention span, that's only a real problem if taco can't come up with a good smoke screen

[–] auraithx@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 points 8 hours ago

All he had to do was slow walk a sham investigation he must be seriously dementia riddled if he thinks this is preferable.

WSJ article dropping soon, and Trump just said he won’t appoint a special prosecutor. He will tweet something stupid again soon he can’t help himself.

[–] Entertainmeonly@lemmy.blahaj.zone 2 points 15 hours ago (1 children)

5 to 1 he looses less than 5% even for this.

[–] frezik@lemmy.blahaj.zone 2 points 13 hours ago

Arguably, you may have already lost that bet, or close to it. Depends on how you measure the results. Trump's approval rating this week is 41%, which is 1.6 points down from last week. 5% of 41% is about 2 points.

This is one of those issues where people won't come back when they leave.

[–] HugeNerd@lemmy.ca 4 points 13 hours ago

Should get the cleaning staff to look into the flies on your desk.

[–] gandalf_der_12te@discuss.tchncs.de 4 points 13 hours ago* (last edited 13 hours ago)

And i thought the day would never come.

No matter what Trump does, his supporters find a way to justify it. Let's see this one.

I feel it in my organs. The revolution is ongoing.

[–] IndustryStandard@lemmy.world 1 points 10 hours ago (1 children)

I do not believe it they would have been banned instantly.

[–] auraithx@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 8 hours ago

The thread has been removed now yes. But they keep coming ! 🍿

[–] Red_October@lemmy.world 39 points 1 day ago (1 children)

It's wild that this person thinks there isn't enough mass deportation happening. Just goes to show that even as his face gets eaten he's still a shitty human being.

[–] frezik@lemmy.blahaj.zone 2 points 13 hours ago

Attempting to hold up contradictions will do that to you. Can't deport migrant labor without destroying the base of cheap farm labor. The people hiring them are often Trump supporters themselves, and they'll lose money with crops rotting in the fields if MAGA got everything they wanted. At the other end of the spectrum, the tech billionaires love hiring H1-B visa holders to keep tech salaries down, and they're the ones buying $1M/plate dinners with Trump.

[–] ivanafterall@lemmy.world 10 points 20 hours ago (1 children)

Everyone is just casually overlooking the flies on Pam Bondi's desk. Why is nobody asking who shit on her desk?

[–] ICastFist@programming.dev 3 points 14 hours ago

It's something that naturally happens whenever she starts talking

[–] iAmTheTot@sh.itjust.works 138 points 1 day ago (3 children)

Wild that one if their issues is there haven't been enough deporting.
