why would you use ai for this? it's literally just text.

[–] Souroak@lemmy.sdf.org 9 points 1 day ago

And it's the 2nd billboard themed just text ai post I've seen.

Oh my… AI is getting scarily good, didn’t notice.

[–] real_squids@sopuli.xyz 31 points 1 day ago (1 children)

It's really not, the image is just compressed to shit, zooming into the crowd you'll see the artifacts

[–] Thekingoflorda@lemmy.world 8 points 1 day ago

Fair enough. Just kinda crazy that I scrolled past this, clicked on it and then only noticed it was ai because of a comment.

AI has a really hard time preserving font and font size. The text was given in the prompt, but it really struggles to preserve it across the whole image. An AI tries mostly to maintain logical pixel consistency relative to its neighbor pixels, but opposite sides are harder.

Lol I suspected its some form of image editing at first glance, comments confirmed my suspicions.

You need to adjust your sensitivity on your "sus meter".

(Maybe I'm just overly skeptical of everything)

I thought it was just a photoshop edit, not fully generated by AI.

We're not in the late 1930s yet.

There is an interesting difference this time around - the prominent wealthy individuals and power of corporations.

Hitler used an economic crisis to rise to power. Trump manufactured an economic crises to enrich himself and other oligarchs.

Hitler was focused on conquering and ethnic cleansing, MAGA seems to be focused on eschatology.

It feels like the only thing standing between us and the country embracing pure totalitarianism is a Reichstag equivalent. After seeing how the country reacted to 9/11, I think we can all agree that the country will happily embrace a Trump dictatorship if something like that were to occur.

[–] MrMakabar@slrpnk.net 8 points 1 day ago (2 children)

That is partof Trumps foreign policy. He tries to piss of other countries into drastic actiin, so he can use that to justify radical action.

He doesn't need to. A false flag incident can be arranged

[–] FlashMobOfOne@lemmy.world 1 points 1 day ago

I don't think you're too far off.

Eschatology: the part of theology concerned with death, judgment, and the final destiny of the soul and of humankind. "Christian hope is concerned with eschatology, or the science of last things"

Trying to educate dumb people invoking Godwin's Law non-stop, day after day, is a losing battle.

Yes, Trump is a fascist. No, America is not yet Nazi Germany.

Oooh, that takes me back. I have a double CD around here somewhere, Clubbers Guide to Trance, 1999.

And always will be.

The south:

"This train don't stop till we're back in the early 1800s!"

[–] petersr@lemmy.world 3 points 1 day ago

We need to go back to when there were no trains!

Stop consuming AI slop.
