I mean… there ARE privacy respecting options, but guess what they chose to do so.

Like, to protect the children UNPROTECT the children by uploading the face to a thirdparty company, so not even directly to discord. I didnt read their TOS or Privacy Policy, but i bet they save the images for “improving” their model and selling it to other AI / ML companies.

Nice that you found your instance. Its just sad to see instances go offline without any trace ( or unresponsive )

[–] Rooki@lemmy.world 3 points 4 days ago (4 children)

A complete disaster, just the majority because all the earlier versions got dropped

[–] Rooki@lemmy.world 18 points 4 days ago (1 children)

I would say, dont stop, let them know what a failure is. And then drop it completely.

Steamdeck stays my top 1 handheld. It doesnt have support scam, burning sd cards and too pricey + windows as default ( immediate -25% possible performance )

Steamdeck is just so much more usable with the touchpads, and its easily upgradable.

Steamdeck 10/10
ROG aly xyz 7/10
Switch 2 -90$/Not my pocket

A bit sketchy website, privacy policy and tos are just garbo text, that even chatgpt could have written better, but i guess if it works it works.

[–] Rooki@lemmy.world 9 points 6 days ago

Looking forward to this. I have been adding bits and pieces to their wiki/guides at https://fedecan.ca/en/ too, as i think having guides related to the fediverse is a must have.

[–] Rooki@lemmy.world 1 points 1 week ago

Oh sorry then! I overlooked that then

[–] Rooki@lemmy.world 4 points 1 week ago (2 children)

To be noted: Orion is Only Mac browser. Almost any other browser is available windows / linux. ( Some on mac too ).

[–] Rooki@lemmy.world 2 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Could you post / insert the direct links of the guides to the post / comment? I dont mind tbh, but many people would trust it more if its not shortened links. I know its better to have shortened links in such image guides, but would be cool if you would provide them.

Hi,

you can ask in the lemmynsfw element chat what is happening: https://matrix.to/#/#lemmynsfw:matrix.org .

We are back! (lemmy.world)

Hello world!

as the title says the server is BACK! It is hosted under a new server! The same map and your inventory is the same!

Domain is the same: minecraft.lemmy.world

Bedrock: minecraft.lemmy.world:1027

Please note: The new server is hosted in the USA so if you are joining from the EU please expect higher than before ping! This can not be avoided as the generous hoster doesnt have a server in the EU.

The generous hoster is @JonsJava@lemmy.world, thanks to him all this is possible.

The home limits are increased and there will be for everyone who wants it a new spawn where you can build from.

Thanks everyone
Rooki

Hello World, As many of you have probably noticed, there is a growing problem on the internet when it comes to undisclosed bias in both amateur and professional reporting. While not every outlet can be like the C-SPAN, or Reuters, we also believe that it's impossible to remove the human element from the news, especially when it concerns, well, humans.

To this end, we've created a media bias bot, which we hope will keep everyone informed about WHO, not just the WHAT of posted articles. This bot uses Media Bias/Fact Check to add a simple reply to show bias. We feel this is especially important with the US Election coming up. The bot will also provide links to Ground.News, as well, which we feel is a great source to determine the WHOLE coverage of a given article and/or topic.

As always feedback is welcome, as this is a active project which we really hope will benefit the community.

Thanks!

I tried to connect but the server and website seems offline.

Sad to see the old school server go.

Hello world,

we chose to close down this community and redirect everyone interested in wordnews to https://lemmy.world/c/world because we want to reduce the load on moderators and have at least locally on the instance less duplicate communities.

We did this action with the cooperation of the mods in c/world and c/worldnews.

Really cool video from @Imperor@mastodon.social i want to share.
