Cops were called because this piece of shit (29) pushed his wife (18, presumably the mother of his month old daughter) into a wall. When they arrived they tried to get him to come outside and he did but when they tried to arrest him he pulled out a gun, shot a deputy in the shoulder and retreated into the house his infant was alone in, where he got another gun and shot the dog before being killed himself.

An animal fact podcast I listen to did an episode on police dogs in 2020 that mentioned even the ones that make it to retirement are typically euthanized because they're so tuned to attack people at the drop of the hat they can't be trusted to just not do that, much like pigs themselves.
