please don't Dune to politics what libs already do with Star Wars and Harry P*tter

[–] FunkyStuff@hexbear.net 24 points 9 months ago

That's fair but I really like the Barron is Paul meme. I'm sorry.

[–] SpiderFarmer@hexbear.net 22 points 9 months ago

The libs are going to do it ironically in due time, we may as well have our fun while we can.

Dune was written by McCarthy's long lost cousin who named the big bad controlling everything from the shadows "Vladimir," and yet it had a better understanding of dialectics and imperialism and religion than Star Wars or HP ever will. I will continue referencing Dune in political analysis until a zombie Frank Herbert tosses his grave out of the soil and kills me in my sleep.

He's simply too busy being 8 feet tall, in 8th grade, and his father's 8th favourite child.

8 hours of work, 8 hours of recreation, 8 hours of sleep

To the millisecond. No time for a fourth thing.

Its a slogan from over 100 years ago, it needs updating, and i do believe many things can fit under recreation.

Before computers and before trains time was also a lot more relative than exact, you can have your milliseconds of dancing, babe

Barron's like a computer. He lives every day exactly the same as the previous. He's like a weird villain of the week in an Axe Cop comic.

Ivankas number one, but being the first handsome, non freakish son slots Barron in at two.

Not being a woman probably puts him at first actually.

Too busy playing Helldivers

That's what I hope for him. I was thinking Minecraft but yeah. As a teenager (and now, let's be real) my ass would be asking if it needs to be done and if anyone else can do it.

I’m honestly surprised the libs haven’t made a “meet the Trumps” that is just “Meet the grahams”

[–] InevitableSwing@hexbear.net 8 points 9 months ago
