Dullsters
Inspired by the Dull Men’s Club.
1. Relevant commentary on your own dull life. Posts should be about your own dull, lived experience. This is our most important rule. Direct questions, random thoughts, comment baiting, advice seeking, many uses of “discuss” rarely comply with this rule.
2. Original, Fresh, Meaningful Content.
3. Avoid repetitive topics.
4. This isn't an advice forum
Use a search engine, a tradesperson, Reddit, friends, a specialist Facebook group, apps, Wikipedia, an AI chat, a reverse image search etc. to answer simple questions or identify objects. Also see rule 1, “comment baiting”.
There are a number of content specific communities with subject matter experts who can help you.
Some other communities to consider before posting:
5. Keep it dull. If it puts us to sleep, it’s on the right track. Examples of likely not dull: jokes, gross stuff (including toes), politics, religion, royalty, illness or injury, killing things for fun, or promotional content. Feel free to post these elsewhere.
6. No hate speech, sexism, or bullying No sexism, hate speech, degrading or excessively foul language, or other harmful language. No othering or dehumanizing of anyone or negativity towards any gender identity.
7. Proofread before posting. Use good grammar and punctuation. Avoid useless phrases. Some examples: - starting a post with “So” - starting a post with pointless phrases, like “I hope this is allowed” or “this is my first post” Only share good quality, cropped images. Do not share screenshots of images; share the original image.

All this for a max of 10 percent more efficiency?
"All this"
Its like 2 eye bolts, some rope, and a mesh sail lmao
If you spend all your time chasing pennies, the dollars are going to float on by. The deeper research says it's better to make sure the unit is clean and maintained than the silly sail.
Some people really don’t want to do anything.
The shade on the siding is helping, too. My siding gets hot af when it's in direct sun, and you can feel it radiating though the wall
That roof looks low, so this whole sail looks too low. I wouldn't want to crane my head every time I go under it, as I'm quite tall and have always been sensitive about my height as a tall person.
I used to get bullied a lot, so please be kind about my comment. Hearts and kisses, -Jennifer.
It's level with the lowest roof how tall are you 😮
Okay Goliath
If I thought I'd get a 10% efficiency bump on my AC by doing this, I would do it in a heartbeat.
Looks like a yearly 20 minute jobs (10 up, 10 down), would save 40$ a year. Few of my yearly tasks pay 120$/hr.
Yes I said max, unfortunately the research about real world saving was much less effective.
If I told you that I had ten percent guaranteed return on an investment you'd want in too.
If you told me that, I wouldn't give you my money 😂
10 percent would be huge not only the bill but in wear and tear. I doubt it's that much, but more is always good when it's a simple fix.
