I haven't heard them do anything like this, but I have seen plenty of people CHUDs would think are "far left" debunking AI bullshit. So it is probably just an attempt to muddy the waters, a sort of "everyone uses AI so there's no way to tell the truth at all, and everything is meaningless(so we should just agree with my viewpoint). They do this shit all the time, they do a shitty thing, get called out for it, then insist everyone except them is doing it, then act like it is ok for them to do it "because everyone else is" and then the new shitty CHUD thing gets normalised. It's the cycle toxic people always go through with their friends and family, just on a society wide scale.
