I think the problem is a vast majority of the American people still believe that old Reagan line "the worst thing you can hear is I'm from the government and I'm here to help" or whatever that geriatric ghoul said.

The majority of people hold a propaganda fueled belief that the government is wasteful and ineffective and inefficient at doing things and so when they hear someone is going to find ways to fix that they mistakenly believe that it is coming from place of honesty and not the bald faced lie it actually is. They (Elon Musk and his sickos) just want to gut government to do whatever they want without any hindrance. If they have to ruin the lives of 200 million in the bottom 75%, well that's a price they'll happily pay.

I finished persona 5, and that was a nice happy ending that ended up being way more high stakes that I ever thought it would be. Which I should have guessed but oh well I enjoyed the characters.

I tried persona 5 strikers, but the dynasty Warriors mixed with persona didn't really do anything for me so I have stopped.

Currently mostly waiting for monster hunter at the end of the month. I'm also moving in with my partner so gaming time is now mostly packing boxes and trying to figure out how I can move things without needing to rent a van or something. Probably end up needing a van or truck though.

There good thing is once I'm moved my computer won't be right beside my father so I will actually want to go on it and I can play factory style games again, also I can resume my trails in the sky playthrough.

I mean come on, we're functionally Americans, who only hold the belief that we aren't Americans as our single defining feature that we feel allows us to proclaim that we're better than them... Even as things constantly fall to shit around us and we struggle to make any progress at all.

Felix's conservative history series really nailed the point home; neither the Dems nor the conservatives know how to win an election anymore, they can only win when their opponent fucks up more than them.

They might be referring to the recent tv mini series adaptation which everyone seems to not like much, I haven't watched it so no clue.

Copying klannada once again. Royal Canadian Air Farce, was a sketch comedy show from the 70s until the late 90s.

Watching tik Tok on the toilet. I'm in Canada so it still works here. But I'm sure we'll get around to following the American lead, don't want to offend the overlords.

Yep same with me, got a dumb tv and it's great, you turn it on and it accepts the feeds you send it..it doesn't try to advertise 9 billion things at me.

If you want pleasant revolts why not try Abercrombie's age of madness trilogy. The revolt happens in the second book.

Technically it's the third trilogy in the the first law universe, so you can read the first law trilogy first, and then the standalone trilogy (named because the three books aren't connected to each other but set the world building for the age madness).

There's no good kings here, everyone is different stains of bad. And anyone who tries to be good doesn't last long.

Many content warnings for the series though, SA, graphic violence, graphic everything really.

Lots of great endings here, I wanna shout out the developers of the messenger, and sea of stars for some really good endings. The messenger fakes you out at least once.

Sea of stars has a decent normal ending but the 100% ending is really excellent.
