Yeah I haven't found anything to hate about this game at all. There is a tinge of disappointment sort of like what I felt with Starfield because these are supposed to Microsoft's marquee games to sell the Xbox but they turn out very ordinary.

The Hindu nationalist talking point about Soros is that he funds the opposition to BJP which is as baseless as it is ludicrous.

What George Soros is in general I couldn't tell you. He is a billionaire who seem like a one man NED.

I am not able to figure out how my stats (attributes, not abilities) decide which loadout suits my character. Any advice on this? For my harry potter build I am putting stats mostly in perception intellect resolve and dexterity. But I am completely clueless.

Thanks to Xbox Game Piss I can try out Avowed until Monster Hunter Wilds comes out.

I am not too deep into it yet. The combat is fun. Though with my bad eyesight it is kinda hard to dodge projectiles. I should look into the accessibility settings for this. My character is a wand toting mage who belongs to Ravenclaw.

The world is somewhat interesting. I think it's too close to the tropey DnD fantasy setting with guns and funghi thrown in but it is alright so far. I have come to not expect too much from AAA games in this department. Writing and voice acting are ordinary too.

Anyone else playing this?

Americans are too preoccupied never forgetting 9/11 to remember what happened five minutes ago.

Trump would probably have a stroke while trying to spell Zelenskyy's name

Their takeaway is probably going to be "we should have been more of rabid unrepentant warmongerers and fielded US troops and instated no fly zone"

They don't even have to try an project any soft power. Merely if Chinese people stop consuming Western media for some reason, Hollywood etc. will be hit significantly.

I could be wrong but it's not clear right now if the code they are sharing will be related to the models discussing. Could be related to their chat web service among other things.

Anyone got a magnet link?

It should be a goldmine for stuff like React because half the code on public git forges is Javascript, half of which is React.

I've been using it to write idiomatic rust code. Learning a lot of new techniques.

The piece says in the end that it doesn't want to single out Kendrick Lamar but whenever he is mentioned in a revolutionary context the photographs of him with Dronebama flash before my eyes.

He says white people don't have singers and comedians as their leaders. I think there is a kernel of truth to that. But the current crop of trailblazers for whiteness includes people like Joe Rogan and a bunch of other podcasters. I cannot think of any example in this genre of demagogues that is not heavily invested in podcasting. They are not comedians nor singers. They are not even fit to be called clowns. But they are at least deeply unserious. I don't know how that fits in with his argument but it is something to think about.

I consistently exceeded the expectations of my employer, Cyberdyne Systems, but they fired me anyway. Therefore they are cruel.

Meta is one of the shittiest tech company out there in my opinion.

For the past year or so I have been incredibly stressed and I have/had no outlet other than drinking. I have/had been drinking most of the days of the week.

As those who have dabbled in such abuse of alcohol already know, getting wasted as a reprieve is temporary and you feel somewhat good only for a fraction of the time you are drunk. Then you feel like crap when you crash and most likely a good part of the next day. So not is alcohol not the solution to the problem, it exacerbates it. And there is the damage to health that comes with it.

I have tried quitting multiple times over the period but have given in every time so far. The only logical thing to do is try again. So I have been trying again. This past week I have only had two beers. I did this without flying off the handle which is a good thing. I have started working out again. This time I am taking it a bit easy so that I don't burn out. Over the course of heavy drinking I had not been exercising at all. It's probably me being hypochondriac but I felt like my heart was getting weaker. It wasn't because of anything serious but when I had to exert myself like when climbing stairs or having to jog or sprint for a bit, I could notice my body not being up to the task which disappointed me. So I have started doing cardio (treadmill running) and reduced the meathead weightlifting routine. I managed to outdo my expectations during cardio and was able to jog at 8 speed for 50 minutes (two episodes of Scavenger's Reign). 8 what? I don't know the units but it felt good nonetheless.

It's highly likely I will fail again. Things in the past fall apart when my old injuries flare up while working out so I will be trying to make sure that doesn't happen. If it happens I will pay attention that it doesn't make me spiral by maybe doing something different like walking. Hopefully after my body normalises I can go back to the occasional recreational drinking because I do enjoy doing that while watching a movie, football or just listening to music. I feel like it is taboo to say this as someone trying to quit drinking.

I don’t believe those who went into this past election taking pride in the unemployment numbers understood that the near-record low unemployment figures — the figure was a mere 4.2 percent in November — counted homeless people doing occasional work as “employed.” But the implications are powerful. If you filter the statistic to include as unemployed people who can’t find anything but part-time work or who make a poverty wage (roughly $25,000), the percentage is actually 23.7 percent. In other words, nearly one of every four workers is functionally unemployed in America today — hardly something to celebrate.

Any fucking questions

There is that particular Chinese TV show that I always wanted to watch which I will now be able to download. Unfortunately I don't think I will be able to fulfill their newbie requirements so I will be kicked out eventually but hopefully I get that show before that.

Delhi NCR (National Capital Region) regional government was until now help by Aam Admi Party (Common People's Party). They were kinda like a startup political party that shot up in popularity out of nowhere. They ran on an "anti-corruption" platform and while in power instated lukewarm welfare services. Their leader, Arvind Kejriwal, held the Chief Minister's office from 2013 until now.

Last year, BJP started engaging AAP in political warfare. AAP ended up being embroiled in a corruption scandal and Kejriwal was put under arrest.

Not sure what this means in the long term. It is hard to tell what goes on in whatever in the brain of a Delhiite if it can be called that. It is kind of a rebound for BJP since this last national election where they were not able to steamroll which was a considered a disappointing showing for them.

This is gonna make licking DJT's boot a little bittersweet for Modi because the opposition parties are gonna call them spineless.
