Je post anti-semitische propaganda - dat snap je zelf ook, daarom post je het. Ik vind dat alsnog bedenkelijk, maar heb nog niks verwijderd en vraag om feedback voor ik mogelijk iets doe. Ik snap dus niet waarom je boos wordt.
Ik hoef zoiets eigenlijk niet te zien. Ik geloof heus dat je dit te goeder trouw post, maar wat mij betreft kan dat ook met een beschrijving.

Ich denke, dass Musk einfach versucht sich von seinem Trump-Abenteuer zu distanzieren, damit man seine Autos wieder ohne schlechtes Gewissen kaufen kann.

Gecrosspost omdat Nederland in deze enquête is opgenomen, en onder onderzochte Europese staten bovenaan staat in afkeur jegens Israël. Geen resultaat dat ik had verwacht, eerlijk gezegd.
Als je doorklikt naar het artikel, zie je dat, hoewel steun/afkeer in Amerika sterk polariseert (of is gepolariseerd), dit in Nederland eigenlijk niet het geval is: 72% van de geênqueteerde Nederlanders met een „rechtse” ideologie heeft een slechte mening van Israël, van de „linkse” Nederlanders 90%.
Opvallend. Ik vraag me af of er iets op dit onderzoek af te dingen valt; ik heb hem in Nederlandse media in elk geval niet voorbij zien komen.
BEWERKING:
Het ligt wel in het verlengde van een eerder onderzoek door de RTL. Daaruit bleek dat ook onder PVV-stemmers 47% vond dat de regering zich actiever moet uitspreken over mensenrechtenschendingen door Israël, tegenover 36% die dat niet wilden. Van de hele (toenmalige) coalitie was dat 58%/26%, de oppositie 83%/8% en alle ondervraagden 66%/18%.
47% vóór sterker uitspreken is wel een stuk minder dan 77% ideologisch rechtsen met een negatieve mening over Israël. PvdA-Groenlinks-stemmers waren voor 93% voor sterker uitspreken.
Of, het PEW-onderzoek is buiten Amerika gedaan tussen 8 januari en 26 april, dus het RTL-onderzoek is eigenlijk recenter wat Nederland betreft.

Ja goed. Maar als het om Amerikaanse toeristen zou gaan, zou er geen haan naar kraaien.
Ik heb dit vooral gepost omdat ik het gevoel heb dat dit voor mij een beetje een grens over gaat van, zo noem ik het maar even, anti-racistische waakzaamheid en (misschien erg onaardig gezegd) aanstellerij, en ik me afvroeg hoe andere redelijk progressieve mensen (dat is hier wel een beetje de doelgroep natuurlijk) dat zien.
De gewraakte passage op een bordspel is: „Ni Hao! Chinese toeristen blokkeren het fietspad. Om ze te ontwijken ga je terug naar vakje 39.”
Ik moet bekennen dat ik het racistische hiervan niet zo zie. „Ni hao” is gewoon „hallo” in Mandarijnchinees (hoewel ik wel heb gehoord dat het racistisch wordt gebruikt bij naroepen). Chinese toeristen heb je veel tegenwoordig. Misschien een beetje raar specifiek Chinese toeristen te noemen, maar is dat per se racistisch?
Dat er stickers worden uitgedeeld om de passage mee te bedekken, komt nogal moreel-panisch op me over.
Mijns inziens alsnog mooi dat Chinese Nederlanders meer van zich laten horen en minder tolereren (mij werd op de kleuterschool nog gewoon geleerd „hankie-pankie sjanghai” te zingen terwijl ik mijn ogen tot spleetjes trok, alleen maar terecht dat daar moeilijk over gedaan wordt).

Admittedly I don’t know much about the actual workings of the asylum process.
However, I have no doubt whatsoever that the primary goal of Wilders is to attain power by whatever (non-violent, for as far as we know now) means necessary. One of the things Wilders immediately tried to do in this cabinet, through his asylum minister Faber, was sideline the chamber by declaring the framed asylum situation an emergency. This was just copying Wilders’ good friend Orbán, who has been able to rule by decree using emergency laws set into motion during covid.
Luckily, this didn’t work. Further, the Dutch political system works in such a way that absolute majorities are pretty much ruled out, always requiring cooperation with other parties. The biggest danger is parties like the VVD taking over PVV talking points and moving ever more to the right.
But it doesn’t matter whether asylum requests form an actual problem (and in reality it wasn’t problematic at all, except for problems that were caused by earlier VVD cabinets saving on centers for processing asylum requests). What matters is whether it can be framed as one. The PVV (like populists in general) is all smoke and mirrors.
Koningsdag, celebrating the birthday of the Dutch king Willem-Alexander, is the national holiday of the Netherlands. It involves so-called ‘free markets’: in parks, on squares and some streets, people can lay down a blanket and freely sell their old junk. Also lots of games, little girls being paid to play the violin terribly and other (attempts at) music. It’s also tradition that the king visits one city and tries to act like a normal person while being the center of attention of what’s possibly the most awkward birthday party on the planet.
This little flag was part of the visual identity of Koningsdag in Rotterdam when Willem-Alexander visited in 2023, and it’s quite cleverly designed. It shows the green-white-green flag of Rotterdam, with superimposed orange party/birthday flags. The party-flags also turn the background into green-white-green triangles, which seem to be interlocking. This could well symbolise a connection between Rotterdam and the house of Orange. In the middle, the orange triangles are turned upside down to form a crown, also very clever. 010 is the landline phone prefix for Rotterdam, and has become sort of a nickname for the city. Maybe here the nulls are also meant to be eyes, with the one as a nose.
I couldn’t find where they handed out these flags, but I had to have one so I was glad to pick this one off the ground :p
I’m not an orangist myself, mind you. I like this flag a lot, though.

This (specific) flag was apparently used until 1675. I’ve not done much looking into the history of the flag, though, I just like the flappy bits.
