It's been a big improvement too

Blue was not as well-received as Yellow, earning a 48% rating on Rotten Tomatoes based on 25 reviews. In The New Yorker, Penelope Gilliatt said that "It is decked out with a lot of idiot sociology and seriously marred by its mock humor, which has the discomfort and occasional ugliness of a jape by a meagre-spirited schoolmaster."

Dang maybe I AM I Am Curious (Blue)

Hi, I Am Curious (Yellow) I Am Curious (Blue)

This shit always boils down to "this group is just like that group, because I don't like either of them"

Holy shit you weren't kidding. It is bleak in there.

"Easy for him to say, his died."

Line delivery is SO hgood in Mr. Show. Another stand out from this sketch is the way the narrator says "where are they coming from? Cloning."

Make both biscuits vanilla cowards

I got an Instagram account when i got out of rehab because I wanted a way for people to get ahold of me when they haven't seen me for a while. I like reconnecting with people but I can't do it (sober; I used try to do it while I was drinking and usually acted inappropriately or just ghosted them really quick lol)

So when I was exploring the app for the first time I watched a random video on the topic of ADHD and the algorithm decided to show me pretty much only videos on the topic of ADHD. I'm really new at realizing I have ADHD and contextualizing my struggles in life through that lens, and I gotta say, I REALLY like having an app that just feeds me videos for and by people who have ADHD. I guess it even satisfies some urge to scroll but in a way that I'm learning and seeing people like me, so it doesn't feel like a waste of time.

Is this a good idea? Are there better apps or resources for this kind of thing? Should I try not to feel shame about using a meta product and embarrassed about engaging with such a "basic" app? Does anyone else have any ways they do something similar?

Love ya

OK, its not much of a dilemma but hey, made you click! While I was visiting family across the country I picked up a couple really REALLY good n64 controllers, like 9.5/10 sticks! Can't find anything like that where I live, no chance, but these were just on the rack at a retro game store for 30 Canadian dollars each!

For non-n64 heads, the controllers had one major design flaw (aside from the layout, which may be controversial but is a matter of taste.) The joystick and housing are both made of plastic, and even through gentle use, the plastic slowly erodes over time from friction with itself. That's why n64 controllers are pretty much ALWAYS dusty in the little joystick well, that fine powder is actually joystick powder. The result is loose sticks. Not drift like with newer controllers, the input interpretation isn't failing, but the stick itself becomes very slightly smaller and so is able to move and jiggle a bit before the mechanism is actuated. Pretty much every n64 controller you find nowadays has a loose stick. After almost 30 years, any controller that's been used much at all will have a little bit of slack. There are a variety of replacement options with various results.*

So now I have two like-new n64 controllers and am paralyzed by my good fortune. I know for a fact that I have to open them up and add lubrication to the parts that grind against each other. But obviously they have never been opened up, probably barely used too. The idea of opening them up and messing around in there fills me with dread. I just know that somehow I'll mess it up and what was a 9.5/10 stick will become just another old ass n64 controller.

I have really been conquering my ADHD paralysis lately, I've probably done more chores in a row in the last two weeks than I have in the last year. But I just can't crack open these bad boys and do what's right, nor can I play games with them knowing that they are unlubricated and therefore degrading with every movement. I might as well get them slabbed and put them on display because they are too perfect and unspoiled to use.

  • "GameCube" style replacement sticks have awful precision and deadzone. The current quality of new made controllers also have really bad precision. The Kitch-bent replacement parts I ordered were not the right size and needed to be filed down to fit properly. Brawler 64 types have different bad detection. I did actually find a type of whole replacement stick that doesn't work that bad, but still doesn't really feel the same as OEM. I can link to the Amazon page of the product if anyone needs a simple replacement for an original stick that can't be salvaged.

I recently figured out I have ADHD. I also recently discovered that having a daily routine makes me feel a lot better. I learned this in a structured environment (rehab) and once I left that, I still know what I need to do and I know it will make me feel better and more productive, but I don't know how to do it...

I have lists (yes I have to include stuff like eating breakfast and brushing my teeth lol) but I dunno how to have them in a way that I can see and implement them. I have them on my phone, in my journal, post it notes around, etc. The only way that sort of works so far is to have an alarm on my phone titled with a long list of things to do, and just hit the snooze every ten minutes for hours, so I'm constantly being pestered. This annoys people around me, lol, and isn't all that effective anyway.

I'm looking forward to maybe medication but in the meantime I fucking KNOW that I will feel better if I can do these things. Any advice on how to trick myself to do them?

Just playing Prophesy of Pendor for the first time and it's pretty fun! Never modded it before, what are the good ones?

I first heard about mount and blade when I saw there was the beginnings of a Darklands mod (which is still an incredible idea even though they didn't end up making it) so I'm particularly interested in mods that focus on small parties and roleplaying, but I would check out anything!

Everything moves so fast nowadays that its easy to forget some of the funny events from the year. I posted the financial columnist getting scammed article recently, that happened in February, seems like a million years ago! Even the Trump assassination attempt barely stuck in my mind. Please share your faves!

I never hear anyone talk about this band, you can't even find most of their lyrics online. Def one of my top three man and woman fronted folkish bands.

Bonus song including maybe my favourite song where a woman screams her ass off. The last chorus is like folk Battle of Mice vocals. Gives me CHILLS.

I just saw the trailer. The fact that anyone is still interested in a movie like that is shocking and bewildering to me. Heroic american soldiers in Iraq in 2006?? Wtf r people on?
