I didn't know that :O
Looks like I have to re-evaluate my treat consumption, no more Milka chocolate, no more Oreo... Any alternatives that aren't financially supporting ? (I guess I'll just not eat them meanwhile, but my desire for sugary treats is very strong, so alternatives would be good)
Honestly the generic Oreo type cookies-with-creme aren't THAT bad... They usually taste more like cocoa powder, which is arguably an improvement.
I think Aldi brand and Choceur (which they carry) products are as a rule BDS safe.
Regional and local brands are easy buys.
Trader Joe's carries Israeli couscous but most of their other products are safe.
Obligatory "there is no ethical consumption under capitalism" just do your best but you probably can't avoid these products completely.
Biscoff cookies from belgium are okay I think. They import them into occupied territories but I don't know if that's enough of a reason to boycott?
Making your own cookies/brownies is pretty easy also. It's not a hard recipe.
SE Asian brands are usually okay also, and anything overtly Muslim/Arab is the safest.
Cookies/cakes/etc from your grocery's own bakery are as local as it gets besides independent bakeries.
I only approve if they are still vegan
Bud light flavored
They look good
I saw these yesterday and had no idea what they were, had I known about the filling situation I would have picked some up
