Jesus Christ be praised!

Stolen is for the Living, once you kill the owner it becomes Looted.

[–] Tedesche@lemmy.world 39 points 2 days ago (2 children)

“It’s legitimate salvage!”

If it’s a legitimate looting, the bandit camp has ways to try to shut that whole thing down.

[–] finitebanjo@lemmy.world 10 points 1 day ago

IT BELONGS IN A MUSEUM!

[–] MonkderVierte@lemmy.zip 4 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Unrealistic, swords are really expensive.

[–] NigelFrobisher@aussie.zone 2 points 20 hours ago

That’s just the scabbard and belt.

Hey now, he earned those fair and square off the corpses he killed.

[–] tdawg@lemmy.world 3 points 21 hours ago

Yeah I mean if they want to walk around in dented and blood-rusted armour who are we to stop them

[–] Rozz@lemmy.sdf.org 41 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago)

The corpse doesn't need them anymore. Recycling

[–] enbiousenvy@lemmy.blahaj.zone 12 points 1 day ago

sir hans is a nepo baby got all o that money from dad.

henry fought random bandit camps which sometimes has expensive armour in their chest.

[–] Spacehooks@reddthat.com 47 points 2 days ago (3 children)

Not realistic it should be more like this

[–] Exec@pawb.social 1 points 23 hours ago

Ah yes, it must be a uhh White Pictomancer Mage

[–] psmgx@lemmy.world 6 points 1 day ago (1 children)

You Caves of Qud character has just two arms? Mine fires four guns at once while high on Sphinx Salts.

[–] woodenghost@hexbear.net 4 points 1 day ago

Love that look!

or took off a corpse that's been dead for a few years.

I've often wondered how anyone could take the equipment from a rotted corpse without gagging.

ohhhh that smell, can't you smell that smell

[–] WoodScientist@sh.itjust.works 27 points 2 days ago

This is the true killer feature of prestidigitation. Lets you instantly clean a soiled object.

[–] CMDR_Horn@lemmy.world 15 points 2 days ago

Just splash some water on your face, all clean

[–] Zorsith@lemmy.blahaj.zone 9 points 2 days ago

Same as nurses probably. Mint oil (or something else strong enough) on a face covering.

[–] rustyfish@lemmy.world 32 points 2 days ago (2 children)

That’s why I like Barbarians so much in DND.

Describe what your character is wearing.

Uhm…some blanket he found earlier…I think?

[–] CuriousRefugee@discuss.tchncs.de 18 points 2 days ago (1 children)

In my campaign, the party got attacked by a grey ooze, which corroded some weapons and the barbarian's armor. We were all like, was the barb even wearing armor? Turns out she had it on from a previous level when it made sense, but had since taken points in Constitution (and I think a magic item gave her Sex). So, she removed her armor and her AC literally went up by 2, lol!

[–] Texas_Hangover@sh.itjust.works 17 points 2 days ago (2 children)

What's this magic item that gives sex?

[–] Viking_Hippie@lemmy.dbzer0.com 13 points 2 days ago (1 children)
[–] Texas_Hangover@sh.itjust.works 5 points 2 days ago (2 children)

Hmm! I had the grey one, and it didn't have that ability...

[–] Viking_Hippie@lemmy.dbzer0.com 8 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Rookie mistake. Everyone knows that red is the color of pasión and that nobody could tell the difference between red and orange in the 80s 😉

[–] otter@lemmy.dbzer0.com 3 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Something tells me there's a correlation between mistaking orange for red and being unaware of the existence of the clitoris. Every woman knew someone who couldn't differentiate, or simply refused to.

[–] Viking_Hippie@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Personally, I was born on the penultimate day of 1982 (the exact date is irrelevant, I just love using the great word "penultimate 😁), so it's probably a safe bet that I didn't know that much about the clitoris during the 80s 🤷

[–] otter@lemmy.dbzer0.com 3 points 1 day ago

Or the difference between many things for a decent span of those years, nevermind red and orange. 🤪

[–] Kichae@lemmy.ca 3 points 1 day ago

The grey one was the earlier model. You gotta get in on those mid-generation upgrades!

Lol, love making a typo and coming back to a whole thread about it. The NES zapper totally needs to feature in one of my campaigns now

[–] festnt@sh.itjust.works 14 points 2 days ago

monks work even better

Hey it's Sir Hans and Henry!

You steal equipment because you want bigger green numbers.

I steal equipment so I don't accidentally sell it when dropping off a load of loot.

We're not the same(unless you're a sneaky archer, armorer, enchanter every Skyrim playthrough)

[–] Aielman15@lemmy.world 16 points 2 days ago

Damn, inflation spiked since I last had a look at Faerun's prices.

[–] TheReturnOfPEB@reddthat.com 10 points 2 days ago

stealing is different from robbing

that stuff was from a murder/robbery

[–] DrBeerFace@lemmy.world 11 points 2 days ago

Is it the gold price you paid, or the iron price?

[–] sundray@lemmus.org 10 points 2 days ago

~~Shop~~ loot the look!

[–] ilovededyoupiggy@sh.itjust.works 4 points 1 day ago (1 children)

I call bullshit, no level 1 starts with that much money. It's more like you can afford either the pants or the chest piece but not both. Or both, but then you can't afford the sword. And hope you find and steal whichever one you gave up here pretty quick, it'll be better than nothing.

[–] wanderinglurk@lemmy.world 3 points 21 hours ago (1 children)

The context behind this drawing is "Level 1 Adventurer" is young lord Sir Hans Capon whom had all his equipment provided for.

Thanks for the context, didn't know that was a thing. That makes more sense.

[–] LovableSidekick@lemmy.world 4 points 1 day ago

I call it repurposing.

[–] finitebanjo@lemmy.world 3 points 1 day ago

A lot like a thief but with a lot of extra steps. Some overlap occurs.
