This is both the slimiest, most horrible piece of writing I've seen in a while, and the cringiest, too. These people write like redditors even though they lived like 50 years before reddit was even a thing. They're such uncool dorks.

Did you check Epstein's Spotify? Asshat listened to the most boring shit ever. One good thing about social media is that it exposes so many of the elite classes as being utter fucking losers with no taste and no brains, all they know is how to be cruel.

The president told the Journal in a Tuesday interview: "This is not me. This is a fake thing. It's a fake Wall Street Journal story. I never wrote a picture in my life. I don't draw pictures of women. It's not my language. It's not my words."

I don't draw pictures of women. I only draw pictures of my very own sonic characters. They are all very, very powerful and very, very strong. They could even beat Shadow, and that's not easy. I have some very good characters. Maybe Sega would like to look at them. They would make very good games where you play my characters. I told my friend Jeff about this, I said -- look at these guys. Look how handsome they are. Jeff agreed that I should send them to Sega. We will see about that.

I honestly can't imagine Trump would ever write voice over...

He loves show biz, so he might

This is setting off my bullshit detector. According to the article Les Wexner also sent him a letter with weird implications along with a similar doodle of tiddies to what's described in the trump letter. Apparently a former assistant wrote him an Accrostic poem that looks like it was written by a 2nd grader who's pretty checked out of the assignment.

"Dershowitz’s letter included a mock-up of a “Vanity Unfair” magazine cover with mock headlines such as “Who was Jack the Ripper? Was it Jeffrey Epstein?” He joked that he had convinced the magazine to change the focus of an article from Epstein to Bill Clinton."

This stuff is all childishly on the nose and as a longtime Epstein Investigator who knew about this shit in the Obama days before it was cool, this is not how Les would operate writing a letter saying 'I wanted to get you what you want...so here it is...' along with a Dennis Reynolds style drawing of some tits doesn't really fit with any other correspondence he's had and is just too obvious. Same with Dersh...anyone really see him making a fake magazine cover and sending it to a friend?

We've also seen Trump's writing style a LOT and this is very much not it. Same with the naked lady drawing. I don't see as him as he put it 'writing pictures'. No fucking way hes ever drawn a single thing ever.

You make a strong point, and it makes me wonder why this story is appearing in a Murdoch paper in the first place. Is the move to retract it later and apologize to Trump to try to make Trump seem innocent and make the Epstein story go away?

[–] MLRL_Commie@hexbear.net 7 points 6 hours ago

Trump has been saying for days now that there's all this fake stuff and it's a hoax, so news coming out that is just very on the nose which will be proven to be fake is a perfect tactic to get people to doubt the rest. It's not about proof, but about giving people a license to disagree: making it socially acceptable to say the Epstein shit is fake with regards to Trump and other famous people.

Ad revenue. It'll get clicks.

[–] HarryLime@hexbear.net 14 points 12 hours ago (2 children)

I mean, I get that newspapers generate attention through big scoops, but I have to point out again that this is a Rupert Murdoch paper. His media has backed Trump hard for nearly a decade.

[–] ZWQbpkzl@hexbear.net 4 points 8 hours ago

Murdoch has turned against Trump occasionally when it suits him. Idk why now though. Maybe they soured on him because of something else like the tariffs and this was the time to strike. Maybe they're trying to realign with Musk? Its certainly not directly over Trump's connection to Epstein. The simple clickbait motive should be the default IMO.

[–] GalaxyBrain@hexbear.net 5 points 11 hours ago

I couldn't reallt begin to speculate tbh. Could be exactly what you said, could just be something got past a middle manager cause clicks were below quota that month. I dunno

[–] ZWQbpkzl@hexbear.net 18 points 12 hours ago (1 children)

Its super sus. I doubt the documents are fabricated but they aren't giving us the whole picture. If the whole picture was so damning they would've whipped it out years ago. WSJ doesnt explicitly state the letter was written or signed by Trump but that can be them protecting themselves from lawsuits.

It doesn't sound like Trump at all but at the same time this would've been a younger and more lucid Trump. He also loves Broadway, so writing dialogue might be a thing he does. But this

Enigmas never age, have you noticed that?

is straight pizzagate fodder. Who the fuck was just sitting on this for years???

[–] GalaxyBrain@hexbear.net 18 points 12 hours ago

I remember younger Trump. He has been a public figure for a long damn time. He loves fashion shows and has dressed like shit forever, he likes McDonald's but quit after working one shift. He likes the consumption side of things. I don't see him writing dialogue and I especially don't see him drawing.

Its all too stupid and seems real hoaxy

Well, I'd like to see ol Donny Trump wriggle his way out of THIS jam!

Just naval gazing about fucking 12 year olds with my bro, wyd

[–] ZWQbpkzl@hexbear.net 31 points 13 hours ago (1 children)

Something to note here: WSJ isn't claiming that Trump actually wrote this note or even signed it himself. Its likely someone else (ie Ghislane) did but they were making this joke because there's some truth to it. I really doubt Trump is capable of that level of creative writing.

[–] Rom@hexbear.net 20 points 12 hours ago

Yeah I thought the same thing, that is very unTrumpian prose. I don't think he's capable of being that subtle, either.

[–] SorosFootSoldier@hexbear.net 30 points 14 hours ago (3 children)

I saw this eating dinner, if this sinks Trump I will eat my hat but I will say not looking too hot right now Teflon Don.

[–] gueybana@hexbear.net 18 points 14 hours ago (1 children)

but I will say not looking too hot right now Teflon Don.

I don’t understand why people say this, this isn’t sinking him with any of his supporters. Have you heard Joe Rogan lately? All the media talking heads have circled the wagons, and polls show 70% approve of republiklaners approve of his handling of this.

[–] SorosFootSoldier@hexbear.net 16 points 14 hours ago* (last edited 14 hours ago) (1 children)

Yeah I mean he's probably going to be okay but this does look pretty bad and I'm sure some of his base that isn't totally lost in the maga sauce is noticing the contradiction.

[–] gueybana@hexbear.net 21 points 14 hours ago* (last edited 14 hours ago) (1 children)

I dunno, isn’t it kind of more damaging to the rest of us? Diddling kids can’t even make a dent on this guy. It’s clear the Nazi death machine holds supremacy, we’re fucked

[–] HarryLime@hexbear.net 14 points 14 hours ago

Yeah, I don't think this is going to directly lead to his downfall or anything, but it's tremendously damaging.

[–] Maeve@kbin.earth 6 points 13 hours ago

I was thinking of this doesn't work, liquidation will happen.
