1980s GI Joe had a diverse and inclusive team to fight the fascist cult-like Cobra group.

And now we have a Cobra Commander like leader and everyone literally falling over themselves to fawn. Apparently we didn't learn the other half of the battle.

Then there is also all those mediocre non-voters who empowered by default the motivated-by-hysteria, toxic dregs of society, up and down Main St. and deep within their communities and suburbs.

Jokes on them. I have always been awake.

[–] JargonWagon@lemmy.world 6 points 3 hours ago

Jokes on them. I can't sleep.

The fact that somehow Big Bird and friends were a threat of any sort to society should tell you what kind of asshole they chose to be. Social media platforms like twatter and meta justify in their minds their assholery. Sesame Street didn't stand a chance against the onslaught of digital dipshit soapboxes.

Hidden by the valve cover, intake is on the far side, note the spark plugs on this side. Air cleaner has been removed. It's a straight-4.

Gotta love that the battery is the same size as most of the visible engine.

[–] Machinist@lemmy.world 4 points 5 hours ago (1 children)

Yup, and you had to regularly check the water level in it.

The car is probably something like a Chevy II.

[–] RememberTheApollo_@lemmy.world 3 points 5 hours ago (1 children)

All whopping 90 hp of it. My first car was 85 hp, so I had to admire the 90 hp Chevy II.

[–] Machinist@lemmy.world 4 points 5 hours ago (1 children)

😁 Those dinky little engines were tough, run forever.

Mine was a chevy pickup with the Straight-6 and three on the tree.

[–] RememberTheApollo_@lemmy.world 2 points 4 hours ago (1 children)

Straight six for the indestructible win.

[–] JargonWagon@lemmy.world 3 points 3 hours ago

Not a fan of cars personally, but I love seeing others chatting about something they clearly enjoy, and I love this conversation between you two.
