I don't think that's a linear logic. We all know Vision is a robot. But we also know it's a story about a robot that is played by a man. We are watching for the spectacle, not because we believed the story to be real.

Cancer sucks. It's hard to judge someone from dying when everyone dies. I do agree with you that treatment would be better. However finding out you are going to die has a grieving process. He took too long. But I kind of get it.

Where? I have been working on cars for decades and worked on race cars. I have never seen body panels glued on. Zip ties, body clips, rivets, welds, but never glue.
