Bomb someone. Immediately call "total ceasefire" so they can not retaliate. Art of the Deal.

[–] massive_bereavement@fedia.io 28 points 1 week ago

But he didn't call it, he declared it!

They did retaliate and it’s more like, make a deal with someone, break the deal, bomb them for doing something that was forbade in the now non-existent deal, call ceasefire and what I’m sure happens next is try make another “deal”.

Also from the article:

It's the most important day for Donald Trump since the last one.

[–] Substance_P@lemmy.world 33 points 1 week ago

He's a rock solid deal maker that Donald. 👍

I call for a ceasefire, then I bomb you, now’s the time for peace! Art of the deal, your very peaceful president who isn’t on the Epstein list.

I mean, both Israel and Iran have agreed to the ceasefire after Trump's announcement. He was not lying, the parties just immediately went on to violate the agreement.

[–] FelixCress@lemmy.world 7 points 1 week ago

By "the parties" you mean Israel?

[–] TommySoda@lemmy.world 12 points 1 week ago

He probably never even talked to anyone besides his "yesmen" which will tell him whatever he wants to hear just so they don't get kicked out and/or arrested.

He said they would finish their missions though, right? Iran would start their cease after 6h and Israel after 12h. Then after 12h after that, the war would be declared over.

08:10 GMT:

Israel’s defence minister orders ‘intense strikes’ on Tehran

Israel Katz has instructed the Israeli military to “respond forcefully to Iran’s violation of the ceasefire with intense strikes against regime targets in the heart of Tehran,” according to media reports.

This comes shortly after the Israeli military said it was now safe to exit shelters.

The Times of Israel said Iran fired two ballistic missiles and that both were intercepted.

The Times of Israel said Iran fired two ballistic missiles and that both were intercepted.

Does this make almost no sense to anyone else? If you're going to violate the ceasefire, why would you only fire two missiles? Considering Israel's success rate with shooting down missiles, these were almost guaranteed to be intercepted. Were they hoping Israel would just forget about their missile defense system? Even if that was the case, again, why only two? It's like the entire goal was just to technically violate the ceasefire with no other gain.

He forgot to mention the two week timeline.
