Oh man, this looks entirely up my alley. I love the subgenre of B movie which is "WW2 with a supernatural twist". I blame seeing The Keep on TV at an impressionable age.
I finally saw The Keep last year. A bit slow at points but generally... awesome.
Oh yasss looks like there are a couple copies on youtube...
I remember seeing this on shelf in video stores back in the day. No recollection of actually watching it, but that cover definitely pings a memory.
Just watched it on youtube.
- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0wTwDwzcP68 - the one I watched. seems to be the best resolution
- https://youtu.be/0wTwDwzcP68?t=2984 - direct link to the scene where Hitler gets punched
- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i5BMD1dGkCA - also has good resolution but includes a "host" and an introductory movie feature, as well as hardcoded subtitles
- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nV4g00xyt-I - very low-quality video
- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hm9fnNfLg8M - also low-quality video
A surprisingly decent movie. It wasn't a masterpiece of filmmaking, but it was a Star Trek TOG-level quality in terms of story and special effects.
