If you look at the Wikipedia listing for "lone wolf terrorist attacks" like 45% are Neo-Nazis, 45% are Far-Right Israelis, and the other 10% are a mix of Jihadists and weirdos with some incomprehensible politics.

honestly why is nearly everybody like this? Why can't 99.9% of people see the very obvious 2nd order connections between extremely simple social concepts? It's like living on a planet of literal sheeple

I also think its a learned behavior to "not think too much" because that can lead to danger or punishment.
I remember being told when I Duolingo'd Arabic years ago that people would think I was a terrorist. They complain about thought police when they're the ones policing everyone's thoughts.
