It's either a lie because who the hell has that kind of information, or is incredibly worrying as who the hell has access to that information and is checking it? What else do they know? Why are they checking?

Protect yourselves against your government. They cannot be trusted.

Right?? They claim that they have already used cell phone GPS data to identify who has been at which protest and when? They’re admitting that they’re analyzing this information?

Any Trump dissenter is fucked.

devil's advocate here: didn't the same thing happen during the jan 6th Capitol riot? I remember graphics floating around showing how the mobile devices of trump rally attendees went from the rally to the riot

A peaceful rally with AOC and Bernie vs actual crimes. They should need a warrant to get to this info.

It's for sale to anyone probably

fair enough

Next you're going to tell me the same people attend the same concerts for the same bands and other related bands. Obviously those concert attendees are being paid to attend those concerts.

So most people into politics are into politics...got it.

[–] BowlingForBowls@lemmy.today 29 points 3 days ago

People were getting paid to go? And my dumbass showed up for free

Lol, "these protesters have been seen at other rallies!"

I notice they don't claim the protestors were at the rallies you're mad about.

Or share the actual data.

[–] Hawk@lemmy.dbzer0.com 15 points 3 days ago

Wow, almost as if a lot of people are turning off their phones because the government is tracking them! Shocking!

[–] owenfromcanada@lemmy.world 26 points 3 days ago

"No one person could possibly go to more than one rally... could they?" --this guy, I guess

[–] tacosanonymous@lemm.ee 15 points 3 days ago

They did a Venn diagram of people who go to rallies and people who went to this rally. I think the sad part is a lot of ignorant people will believe this shit.

[–] DancingBear@midwest.social 8 points 3 days ago

Wtf. Where’s my check?

[–] CaptDust@sh.itjust.works 16 points 3 days ago* (last edited 3 days ago) (1 children)

Wait people affiliated with Indivisible and DSA showed up to a Sanders Rally!!?? That's absolutely SHOCKING . and ActBlue is funding them?? But then... Where.. who's funding ActBlue? It might be the same DSA/Indivisible people!

Full circle folks, full circle.

/s for the dense. Its totally normal to join activist movements, donate to the cause, and show up to rallys with the other activists in said movement. I have no idea what this twat is on about.

[–] WrenFeathers@lemmy.world 1 points 1 day ago

Do NOT under any circumstances donate to ActBlue. They will harass you endlessly and there is nothing they can be done about it.

I called lawyers and the FCC, both agreed that there is nothing that can be done.

Again, unless you want to have to change your phone number- don’t ever donate to them. They will harass you multiple times a day.

[–] CptCosmicMoron@lemmy.ca 14 points 3 days ago (1 children)

They're full of shit. Where did they get the data from? Anyone can make up this shit. Show sources, because of someone is giving you this info than that's a huge breach of privacy.

[–] CompactFlax@discuss.tchncs.de 7 points 3 days ago

lol, in the USA you can just go buy it from the cell providers. There’s data aggregators who make a living on this kind of thing.

[–] HorreC@lemmy.world 6 points 3 days ago

Well yet another reason to never have your phone on. Yes it could help save you, but man is that one in a million moment worth it for all the just access to all your movements to people that would love to see you fail/die.

[–] finitebanjo@lemmy.world 5 points 3 days ago

Good, yes, ignore the dems. Every political victory in the last century was total from underestimating and refusing to engage with your opponents. /lie
