This is worse than Stevie Wonder's brief stint as an orthodontist.

Roasting aside, I've seen much worse, and in professional spaces. Do some practicing, try more or less heat, get some flux, and give yourself time to work.

To add to this: I would hope your company has some sort of policy regarding conduct (HR almost always has something in the employee handbook about treating one another with respect). Clarify in writing with your supervisor about what kind of conduct is unacceptable, and start enforcing it to the letter whenever you have to take a call. "I understand this is a frustrating issue, but I won't tolerate further abuse on this call." When they curse you out, you hang up. If they have a problem with it, they can call your supervisor. If your supervisor has a problem with it, you report it to HR (yeah, HR isn't "on your side" generally, but they also want to prevent lawsuits, so in this case their best interests align with yours).

I've had pretty good success with a number of 8bitdo controllers. The wireless ones have a few different wireless "profiles" for compatibility with multiple devices, but after figuring that out, it's pretty smooth sailing. They take several minutes to turn off from idling, and it won't "idle" if you're holding it (i.e., if there's any activity on the gyroscope).

I have the SN30 Pro and the Zero 2, both have great battery life and work well on Linux (I'm using Mint). And they work wired as well.

If you're interested or curious about music theory (even if you don't know much about it), I recommend Charles Cornell. Here's one of him talking about Pure Imagination.

Ooh, now do some linear extrapolation. We're gonna break some records in 2025. Too bad they're the ones you don't want to break.

Can, but won't.

Yeah, that makes sense. I guess the difference is that you don't typically see the shape of a string as it vibrates, as opposed to seeing a whip move.

Also mildly interesting is the difference in the L/R waveforms. Taken from the end of a Danny Go song.

Welcome. Have a seat in one of the somewhat comfortable generic beige chairs.

I have no strong feelings one way or the other.

Considering it's an acronym for Graphics Interchange Rasterization And Formatting Format Enhancement, it's pronounced giraffe.

My partner and I love having live location sharing, it's the main feature of Google Maps that we loathe leaving behind. Is there anything in the OSM ecosystem that replicates it?

So far I found OsmAnd's tracker, which I think works by sending location updates through a Telegram backend or some such?

Is there anything else out there? Anyone else using a feature like this?

My therapist said I had impasta syndrome.

The recipe always says to reserve some pasta water. I either forget, or I just don't bother. The one or two times I've needed it, I just added regular water and it was fine.

I just moved, but haven't sold my old house yet. So I left my tools there for any work that needs to be done. My dad let me borrow his tools for the new place (and I'm very grateful for that), but they're not the same.
