Excellent conversation. It's about the million-dollar question of how to convince rich pampered humans to use and burn less stuff. It takes some case studies from Switzerland, which is basically the richest place on Earth. Nothing that we don't know already but still fairly inspiring.
Collapse
This is the place for discussing the potential collapse of modern civilization and the environment.
Collapse, in this context, refers to the significant loss of an established level or complexity towards a much simpler state. It can occur differently within many areas, orderly or chaotically, and be willing or unwilling. It does not necessarily imply human extinction or a singular, global event. Although, the longer the duration, the more it resembles a ‘decline’ instead of collapse.

Huh, we lived for 10 years off grid as a couple on a 2kW solar sysyem. You just had to turn shit off ,that seems beyond most peoples ability to grasp.
We had no generator for backup.
