btw the years are questionable ... it says 2086 but mars will probably have its own calendar system

consider that mars years are approx. twice as long as earth years ... counting earth years on mars would be odd because it wouldn't align well with martian seasons.

I'm assuming we will be using earth years even on other planets. Would be rather confusing to have two or more time systems for the solar system.

oh but that's what i think will happen

btw we already had this in the past, even on earth. multiple cultures used different calendar systems, making time calculations a bit tricky.

right but like, we changed that because it makes things incredibly difficult when you're communicating in effectively real time across the world

I think other planets would have both a local time and earth time, much like we now have clock time and "look outside and see where the sun is" time
