Piracy is the sort of thing that never dies. Someone will find a way to host books for the world if libgen dies

Slop posts go in c/slop. Don't post low-hanging fruit here.
Id actually have to start using z library if they kill libgen
Brother I hate to break it to you but this is what comes up when you enter its url:
Why are these piracy websites not hosting inside Russia? I don't think I've ever heard of Cs.rin.ru going down. Russia is legitimately the best country for piracy rn.
That's not what I see when I visit the onion site.
Libgen and scihub are great barometers for vibes in academia
sure hope not, i'll be pissed if i have to figure out alternative ways to "borrow" books
i freaked out at first, but then remembered this shit is impossible to kill. except for sci-hub rip :( anyone lmk if there’s an alternative to sci-hub that has articles newer than 2021
Annas-archive.org
Mirrors a libgen, sci-hub, z-library, etc. In addition to uploading its own stuff.
It also has an explicit continuation of sci-hub's mission called SciDB
I really hope they'll last
God damn rip scihub
I’ve been struggling recently, can’t get me damn books
Libgen is such an invaluable resource, I dearly hope we don't lose it
I guess I switched from libgen.rs to libgen.pm at some point and never realized it but .pm seems to be working for me for the moment.
Are there ways to support these book repos using something like torrent seeding or some other p2p system? I have a lot of storage and good proxy setups.
You can download all of Anna's Archive via torrent afaik
edit: here
Nice! I'll start seeding then!
Thanks!
Anna's archive has been acting funky as of lately too with the waitlist shenanigans.
