it would actually really own the Republicans if he just dropped out and the Democrats didn't nominate anyone. They could just say they're so committed to unifying the country against political violence and incivility that they couldn't even think of dividing the country by running a partisan campaign. Once everyone sees how hypocritical Republicans are for running unopposed, everyone would be so disgusted that they would unanimously write in "Hillary Clinton" and Lin Manuel Miranda would come and sing an acapella rendition of the West Wing theme
