An iPhone dropped in a pool has a better chance of recovery at this point. Their waterproofing has improved.

Ah fair enough, I've paid 0 attention to iPhone development. The last one I had was an iPhone 4 that stopped working when I got it wet lol

iPhone waterproofing is legit. If mine fell into a pool, I'd give it a solid 60-70% chance of being fine.
