Not even any strain relief on the cable connections, this thing will disintegrate within 3 years

It looks like their standard rubbery cable material. The sleeve rapidly discolors, and then cracks and frays into some kinda cheese stick cheese head looking situation. Leaving the braided metal shielding exposed. Without fail, every cable for like the past 15 years.

This one is using their new braided cable instead of the old plastic one

Oh, had to zoom in a bit to see the braiding. Well, let’s hope these work out better.
