Isn't that mostly because of all of the corruption they were found to be engaged in, more than any real national feeling?

Also seems to be a resurgence in popularity of Scottish Labour, and the fatigue of two decades of Scottish Government. The electorate seem to have accepted independence has been settled for this generation, and have moved on to more pressing concerns.

There have been policy own goals too. For example, ScotRail was the first TOC to be formally nationalised, and since then has seen the highest fare increases in Britain, and a vast incompetence around new ferry procurement.
