Seconded. I do this and it also gives me insight on which apps I scroll and when I scroll. I found when I have nothing to do I'm scrolling more so I substitute scroll time with other short form activities like reading a little or playing solitaire or practicing language. I scroll more when transitioning activities or at work.
Finding something to take up that doom scroll time is vital else you'll start scrolling on weird places you never looked at before, like LinkedIn or YouTube
