In the past I had issues with certain websites and apps. You can use tools to limit yourself. Setting parental controls on yourself is an example that might be available without installing anything extra. You can set a password to access controls and write it somewhere outside your home or wherever you usually do thing you want to cut. So it isn't convenient.
Can also get apps designed for self limiting it depends on your platform. Your router can probably block URLs on a schedule. If you mainly use home internet.
Its helpful to just get out of the habit, I used these for a little while a couple times and then I eventually didn't need them anymore.
Seconded. I do this and it also gives me insight on which apps I scroll and when I scroll. I found when I have nothing to do I'm scrolling more so I substitute scroll time with other short form activities like reading a little or playing solitaire or practicing language. I scroll more when transitioning activities or at work.
Finding something to take up that doom scroll time is vital else you'll start scrolling on weird places you never looked at before, like LinkedIn or YouTube
