A video from this channel popped up on my feed the other day. The topic seemed interesting, but after about the 3rd or 4th point something felt off. He constantly uses similes to draw very odd comparisons. The phrase 'it's like' comes up very often. This is exactly how I've seen LLMs talk.

Is it just me, or am I right about this? No one in the youtube comments seems to have mentioned it.

The oldest video I found is from 10th of December 2023, titled "Top 10 Animals That Have STDs". No videos before the launch date of ChatGPT.

Also, the description reads AI-gen af:

Let's dive into the lesser-known side of nature with "Top 10 Animals with STDs" — an insightful look at how diseases shape the lives of animals. From the leafy abodes of koalas to the deep blue realms of dolphins, this video reveals the intricate dance of survival where illnesses play a pivotal role. While STDs in animals is a delicate topic, we approach it with humor and educational care, aiming to inform rather than sensationalize. Discover the strange ways diseases influence animal behavior, the evolutionary adaptations they've spurred, and how nature's resilience shines through. This video is not just about the oddities of the wild but also a testament to the complexity and interconnectedness of life on Earth

Newer videos don't even have descriptions.

Also, the channel uploads a video every day, the topics are very generic and the voice-over is really flat, syntetic and uninteresting. I'm 90% sure this is an AI powered content farm.

I wasn't 100% sure about the voiceover, but it does have weird intonations at points.

If you look at some of the comments too, they come from AI channels in similar formats. It's all one big AI circlejerk

If you look into the YouTube comments in most "popular" videos, you will believe in the dead internet theory. There are tons of bot accounts commenting and more and more have other social media accounts. They make the same generic comments, usually with emoji, and some of them can't keep their story straight like claiming to be a given race and having profile pictures that don't match.

The cadence is all off, the voice doesn't pause at the right time, and the tone doesn't change.

Definitely a robot voice.

They're all trying to surf the Samonella wave. If the dead internet theory wasn't a reality back when it was first postulated, it soon will be... if it isn't already of course.

Makes me sick.

I just can't believe people don't recognise it as AI

Well, almost. I think people will soon have to communicate in closed and private invite-only chats to avoid bots and AI agents.
