sorta, it was slower. The politicians would tell each lie for a few days to a week. The buildup took months. They also coordinated their lies with other nations so they would repeat the talking points instead of the euros just ad libbing shit like "Iran cannot have a nuke" and "israel has a right to protect itself."

And the us was sure to tell the lies before they started bombing.
