Been trying to grow out my facial hair since I found pomemade on sale, I look like I came out of a cave and can't settle on any style, I just know sideburns won't ever be a cool thing, and obviously due to work and such I can't keep the mountain man look for that much longer before I get a talking to.
You could go to a barber and ask them to just shape it naturally. That way you can keep most of the length, but it looks well-kempt and not messy, so you will have more time to think about how you want to style it.
I'm afraid to go to the barber ever since a bit of transphobia I experienced early in transitioning, so I do all my own hair care.
I get that. I cut my own hair, too, unless I go to an explicitly trans friendly place staffed by queers.
Idk what your hair type is, but it's not too hard to shape yourself. You can comb out the hair to see how long it is, and then trim it uniformly. From there you can try shaping.
Round is probably easier, but you could also try shorter on the sides and longer at the bottom, which leads to a more striking profile.
I'm usually lazy and try to imitate what I see other dudes do near me, sadly most of them just opt for the mountain man look with a hat or the typical buzzed/faded sides and long top that's like maybe 3 sides and 4-6 top. That look won't work in retail though, well the hair yes, for facial hair I'll need to pick something quick since I've just been letting it go. I have really fine textured wavy hair. I could break out scissors if I need to.
Me over here thinking sideburns are hot and wishing for sideburns to come back :(
This just casually making me realise what transbians mean when they say they're not sure if they want to be with someone or be someone.
Good luck~
Around the holidays I grew mine out a whole lot and some foreign exchange students named dropped Disco Elysium and that made me realize
lol
He is hot though (alcoholism aside) so jokes on them!
Eh, I don't like the look. I was thinking more 70s or civil war sideburns and then I realized, meh they're right.
That is true, it is a distinct vibe. What about this moustache sans sideburns?
