Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
- Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
- No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning
We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.
All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

It’s also a lie. They’re not “trying to”, they said that it is something that they might consider. It has been done 4 times before too.
This administration has repeatedly shown not to care about the status or criminal history of any non-US-born person. Also, they have revoked the status of legal migrants to be able to call them "illegal migrants" directly after, despite them doing everything correctly and being in America legally until the rug was pulled out from under them.
And aside from all of that, why are we okay with the government even thinking of doing this to anybody??? That should be a major red flag even as something they are considering. But based on their previous actions, it's definitely something they want to do, which is even worse

I want to add that the people in charge of these policies have repeatedly made statements showing that their true feelings/intent aren't about legal/illegal status:
These people are psychopaths. They saw it's easy to suck up to Trump and convince him to support their ideas in exchange for treating him like dear leader. I maintain that Trump is the only one in that admin who isn't a soulless demon, but he's so easy to flatter.

They aren’t “trying to” do what the NYT says they are, the actual quote in the article even proves that. They said it’s something that they might consider. Those are not the same things.
If they were “trying to” they would have begun proceedings to do it. Have they? No.

You don’t know someone’s legal immigration status until you find out. The only people that have been deported or jailed are illegal immigrants.
Read the article dumbass. Some of these people are still imprisoned and the government knew they were legal when they grabbed them.
