Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
- Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
- No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning
We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.
All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

Really getting suspicious that they’re actively trying to get people to riot at some point simply as an excuse to invoke the insurrection act (and then deputize the proud boys et al)
nothing is really stopping them from doing it anyways, its much easier to do it in red states, but magas dont riot in large numbers like Ds do.
There are already plenty of parallels between how Putin seized power and Trump. If he's following the playbook, a false flag should be coming down the pipe any day.

They absolutely missed the best chance they'd ever get when that Zizig cult got arrested. To me, that sounds line they haven't got their plans in order yet.

When they caught those Russians prepping for a plane bombing and discovered evidence of a likely broader plot, my immediate thought was “they are 100% planning on framing the Ukrainians for something absurd as a nonsense casus belli for Trump to use”.
Truth has no meaning. When they are ready to do that they'll just say that they saw there were riots on the news and that is why you now have a live in nazi to keep an eye on your family and make sure you are not passing on any gay frog genes.
Nah, this is just ransacking and gutting the government. All the oligarchs remember how much money they made off the covid pandemic and want to recreate that. Doom spending to try and drown out the voices, panic spending because toilet paper, etc. Also there is 100% a reason trump kept talking about wanting to see the gold in Fort Knox and that is totally just a stimulus for the uhaul industry.
Same thing with the tariffs. They are hoping for small stock market crashes that let them buy low and then sell when it rebounds because the tariffs are totally coming next month, not this month.
And... that is also why there is such a big focus on Canada and Greenland. That is land that is going to be less impacted by global warming and they know it is coming (there was a spectacular article by a sex worker in Geneva on the topic. Short version: Everyone knows it is coming and that stopping it would hurt quality of life. So they are focused on making sure they are comfortable while we die).
Honestly leave the US as soon as you can.
Been there, tried that in 2016, it's a lot harder than you think, especially if you're older even if you're in tech.
The only country i eould probably be able to emigrate to is the UK, since my mom is English. I don't forsee the UK being much better than the US in 5 years time.
Why? It's got its own nuclear deterrent, a functioning economy, a family elected leader and close ties with the largest trading bloc on earth.

Nah, if they really wanted that we'd already be in a recession. Maybe if the tariffs actually start impacting the economy to the point where there's an actual market collapse, then we might see some people hitting the streets.
In reality, the capital holders won't allow the media to rile up Americans too much until the billionaires start getting hit in the wallets. Until then we still have our bread and circuses.
They want to quietly bleed us dry so we are forced to work to survive. They don’t want a middle class, because they aren’t as easy to control as someone living paycheck to paycheck.
