Construction jobs weak as housing targets missed

I'm not sure where these homes are NOT being built, but Durham Region is almost unrecognizable because of the urban sprawl of the last 2-3 years. It's pretty alarming, actually, because most developments are single detached with very few high-density projects.

The homes that are not being built are the upwards ones. It's literally impossible for us to sprawl our way out of this. Density is key when it comes to man-hours per unit.

Single family home urban sprawl also costs cities more to the point of downtown cores subsiding suburbs.
