I didn't receive one. I didn't know about it until Lemmy informed me.

"B.C.’s main response to the tariff threat from the United States so far is a vague plan to “expedite” 18 energy and mining projects — a commitment reiterated in the throne speech, which said the province will “speed up permitting and regulatory approvals” for major resource and energy projects."

"During its first four weeks, the new United States presidential administration has taken our country on a roller-coaster ride. And we must be prepared for this to continue for the next four years. The historic bond between Canada and the United States has been strained in profound ways. Trust has been broken and will not easily be repaired."

Premier says throne speech, to be delivered Tuesday, will lay out how the province plans to protect residents

When British Columbia's Legislature opens for the first time in nine months on Tuesday, the driving force behind the province's politics and the government's upended agenda will be thousands of kilometres away.

New Lt.-Gov. Wendy Lisogar-Cocchia will deliver a throne speech outlining the NDP government's goals, opening the legislative session against the backdrop of economic uncertainty and the looming threat of whopping tariffs from U.S. President Donald Trump.

The speech will lay out the NDP government's "plan to defend British Columbians in these uncertain times and secure a brighter future for everyone who calls this place home," said B.C. Premier David Eby in a Family Day statement on Monday.

This is a pretty cool event. $100 for basic, $150 for VIP. We really enjoyed it last year.
