"when fascism comes to america it will be wrapped in a flag and carrying a cross" is a distorted antifascist slogan from the 40s, i was riffing on that
Yeah, I got that. I personally don't like the slogan because I would argue the country has been fascist since its very conception, it just had more rudimentary political structures.
