I believe it's a combination of "dark robot looks more badass" and a bit of white supremacy dog whistling from "black servant serving drinks."

Yeah those. But also in the second reading, the white part of the robot is clothes and the black part is skin, and checking the robot again yields a bonus sexual pathology reading.
