I was 22 when TPM was released and my friends and I were so excited to go see a new Star Wars movie. The first one came out the year I was born so even though I'm nearly 50 now I never got to see the originals in that form and this was a huge moment for Scifi nerds like us. When it ended we all just sat there confused. No one wanted to be the one to admit that the movie fucking sucked. It sucked so hard I was embarrassed to be there. We all looked at each other like uh.... was... that good? Finally someone was like "I wanted to leave since the underwater scenes"

The prequels suck. The only reason anyone like them is that they were kids when they came out and it tickles the nostalgia centers of their brains. The next two were slightly better but only very slightly. I will never watch them again.
