Also bei den Mandatsträgern ohne Amt finde ich das schon etwas übertrieben. Bei Amtsträgern würde ich allerdings zustimmen, besonders wenn es um Bürgermeister geht - da geht man zweimal wählen, um eine Person direkt zu wählen (ist ja in Deutschland durchaus selten, die Bundestags-Direktkandidaten haben ja kaum mehr Einfluss als Listenkandidaten, besonders jetzt nach der Wahlrechtsreform), und dann ist die Person teilweise nach der halben Legislatur weg, weil sie unbedingt in die Landes- oder Bundespolitik will.

Though if I'm honest, it's not just social media - even "respectable" print and tv publications have been pushing the "brown people are violent criminals"-narrative, which is pretty much entirely a fabrication according to statistics (at least here in Germany).

Thing is, here in Germany you don't even get to make the mistake of setting up your withholdings wrong if you're a regular employee. I don't think it's even possible to end up owing the state money if you're not self-employed or have considerable capital investments (which is rare for regular employees, which is probably its own issue ...).

Even in Germany you typically get a little money back if you do your taxes as a regular employee. Though that's far, far better than owing the state money at the of the year.

Blame the people who pay off the politicias and put rightwing propaganda on almost all mainstream media. Common people have to spend a LOT of effort to get even a resemblance of agency.

KP, perspektivisch wäre es für die Grünen besser wenn sie an der xenophoben und autoritären Scheiße von SPD und Union nicht teilnehmen. Kurzfristig wäre es wohl schon besser, aber so viel kann man nicht erreichen, wenn man doppelter Juniorpartner in so einer Koalition ist. Und es erhöht für die Union den Anreiz, doch mit der AfD zu machen ...
