Oh no, we'll have to use something other than terrible, AI ridden MS office? How terrible

So I checked the config for the external drive again and discovered when it was remounted it had added a, "1" to the end of the drive name. I went back into the .env and changed the library location to reflect this. Restarted docker and it is now connecting again. Obviously it is not ideal to be using a external HDD, but I wanted to test immich out for a while before investing into a bigger self hosting rig for all my services.

Ultimately problem solved though

Drive was just connected with USB to mini PC so it was also unplugged and I had to remount it to the PC. I looked in the .env file and the path still looked good. I had considered this was an issue too. I figured that restarting docker with the drive properly mounted would fix this though. Still getting, "connection was reset," though

I set up Immich on a spare mini PC running Linux Mint with a spare external HDD to store the library. Used Docker compose as recommended on the website. Everything was working great last night. Then this morning I decided to move the mini PC to a more permanent location. I powered down and moved it. When everything restarted though I discovered that I was unable to c9nnect to the immich server. I went onto the mini PC and the local host and all it says is, "connection was reset." I have tried restarting docker from terminal several times and it says the immich services are running. I still cannot connect to the server though. What can I do to fix this?

Still useful if you utilize calibre

I've accepted that the days of good Bond movies are over. The only ones ensuring high quality were those producers. I'm just glad they finished the Daniel Craig films before this fiasco started

Can confirm, excel is stupid as hell. Need to be a programmer almost to get it to do basic things

Anyone got any experience with the quality? Will it their products last a while?

I think this really speaks to, "It's not what you have, it's who you have." You could have millions of dollars and the biggest house in the neighbourhood, but you won't be happy with any of that if you have a partner who is terrible and mean to you.

Happiness comes from finding joy from what you already have rather than longing for what you don't.

My kindle has been on airplane mode for years and I read new books all the time with it, but hey, whatever works for you

This is why you never connect your kindle to the internet. Calibre forever

That tirespy website they mention here is pretty sweet. I always like looking through Canadian Tires flyer, but now I can see when they are ripping me off on the deals. Basically camelcamelcamel for Canadian tire.

My big winter boots I have used for the last few years got a split in them today. I use them a lot as I walk about 1km a day to and from work. I have to walk up hills and on ice at times. Which boots should I buy that will be good quality, keep my feet warm and dry, and last repeated daily use?

I am coming from being a console player all my life. I love the conviency of a console, but I'm tired of all the B.S. Subscriptions, lack of exclusives, no backwards compatibly. I got a steam deck last year and I love it. I would like something more powerful though that I can plug into my TV though and game in at least 1080p with high settings. Ideally 4k with decent settings.

I am transitioning my computing to Linux and I like the look of Bazzite which is very similar to the steam desk. I would like to do a build that can replace my console. I'm thinking I should go Ryzen AMD. I'm more just wondering what components will work with a Linux build and if there are some things I should avoid. If someone has recommendations for a $1500 CAD build I would also be very interested in that.

I've been cutting out subscriptions and Spotify is the last one I would like to get rid of. I've transitioned to buying and downloading my favourite artists songs so I can own the music I love. The only thing keeping me with Spotify at the moment is the Release Radar playlist it creates for you. Basically I want to know if there is a way to get notified when the artists I follow release new music. I've been looking and so far I haven't found a viable alternative.
