Misleading, this is just some ambulance chasing law firm throwing stuff at the wall. It's unlikely that anything will come of this.

Yep. If anything, this is an opportunity for the guy to show that he's not just in it for the sex.

When I date men, one of the main things I look for is how they handle rejection.

Yikes. Lonely men aren't automatically an incel.

They can make it so much harder to do that, to the point where almost everyone just gives up.

If you're upset that your hacked-to-bits, rooted, unlocked and/or unencrypted device is failing checks: I'd say, tough luck. Until we can create provably untampered app-containers, that level of access genuinely breaks TOS on apps and regulations on handling personal data.

Hard disagree. If you own the device, you should be in full control of what's going on. Sure, attestation can give some extra security, but that decision should be up to the user. Everything else is just excuses for user hostile DRM: platforms levaraging technology to secure their own profit margin against the interests of user.

I get your point, but the US prison system is also really horrible. Healthcare is terrible and prisoners have a very high chance of dying from lack of proper treatment. Every year in prison lowers your life expectancy by two years (source).

That's not very nice

Writing the same content as an email takes me like 10x the time. Especially if it's something complicated and people might have follow-up questions so it takes up room in the back of your mind. Much easier to just get out of the way in a 5 minute conversation.

Anything to do with emotions or interpersonal relations is also very prone to misinterpretation when put as text.

Train ticket enforcement must not exist. Make it free, like Luxembourg. Saves a lot of administrative costs, turnstiles, queues and police interactions.

The person who created git clearly cannot be trusted to write good kernel code. I'm CC'ing Konstantin to disable his account, whoever he is.

The best part of the fediverse is that anyone can run their own server. The downside of this is that anyone can easily create hordes of fake accounts, as I will now demonstrate.

Fighting fake accounts is hard and most implementations do not currently have an effective way of filtering out fake accounts. I'm sure that the developers will step in if this becomes a bigger problem. Until then, remember that votes are just a number.
