Do you have to deal with daylight savings time? That shit literally causes a spike in accidents 2x every year, but we still do it because tradition or some shit. It's not enough that you have to meet temporal demands, but you also have to transpose by one hour twice. The worst is "Fall Back" in my experience. "You get an extra hour!" is bullshit. I'm getting the hour that was stolen back finally without any interest. Then you walk outside at 530PM, and it's dark as hell. The cruelty is the point etc.

Having everyone asleep at the same time seems like a weird thing to me. I'm most comfortable with a later schedule. I think napping is really valuable if you are feeling a need at some point during your wake times. I wish I could figure out how to make money and not have to fit my schedule to some arbitrary demands. What are the sleep schedules of bonobos like? They probably have it figured out better than us.

there's a whole arc in the Hitchers Guide to the Galaxy trilogy where Arthur Dent finally finds some semblance of purpose in his life by becoming a sandwich maker, a well made sandwich with quality ingredients can change your life

the Earth of Samurai Jack is terrible in the future because of Aku, his inclusion in the cola ad is a direct reference to capitalist culture being evil

so it's more that Jack in this meme is the stand in for the viewer of the show, putting on the glasses and seeing the underlying message being presented

through the magic of crossover memes the ideology glasses have become media literacy glasses shrug-outta-hecks

You can also put the edge of a flat between the nubs of another block. There are so many variations beyond hole-to-nub if you just try for a few minutes.

This is a narrative I've been seeing crop up in some radlib places. Is it at all true? I thought the US backed SA pretty extensively mostly. Anyone have any good sources on this claim?

The narrative is that Musk has some long term grudge with USAID over this.

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth revealed the three soldiers who were aboard the chopper were a "fairly experienced crew" doing a "required annual night evaluation."

The call sign was reported as PAT25 which is a specific call sign for the transportation of VIPs in DC area.

PAT US Army Priority Air Transport (Andrews AFB)

Why would a training flight use that call sign? Wouldn't a different call sign be used if it was just a training evaluation flight?

An USAin is traveling in a socialist country and has a mental/physical breakdown related to work stress and poor diet/health issues. They are admitted to a mental health facility, and they initially believe they are being forcibly being re-educated and/or other red scare nonsense.

The show would be part psyche thriller (USAin perspective), medical procedural for the socialist medical workers, with maybe some mockumentary elements for added comedy.

The staff would be trying to figure things out and repeatedly dumbfounded by the lab results. Microplastics and PFAS well beyond known limits, etc.

Eventually the USAin starts to get better and appreciate the socialist society and medical care.

Meanwhile their family/partner still thinks they are kidnapped/imprisoned. End of season would involve a standoff with US military "rescue operation" being planned. Perhaps the military shows up, but they no longer want to go back to USA.

Anyway, just a funny idea for a story that would depict the reality of hell world via contrast with a socialist society.

With the tiktok and redbook stuff, this might be pretty on-trend currently.

Mostly thinking of Libertarians and MAGAs with this one, inspired by some MAGA acct posting about how tariffs are going to be good for US economy, etc.
